OMG i just found this thread. I am so sorry for your loss, but at the same time very thankful that you and the girls are safe. Take the time to mourn and feel sad, this is a huge loss. When it is time, look forward to rebuilding with excitement. Sometimes a fresh start and a do over are just what we need. If you need to let off steam or just talk, i am here. Sending you huge hugs and prayers.

Vendaval, appreciate it... we're good to go here. Hoping the rain headed our way hits soon..(Like tomorrow)... take some of this heat out so can work longer on clean up. Want to get this done soon. Temps in 90's making clean up slow.... ugh... Pretty much gotten through the rough spots... seeing exactly what all is lost... what we can save... now the fun comes in.... finding a new house... grrrrrrrrrr........ I wanna try to be moved and settled before school starts August 25th.. .....joy joy.....lol

been a long day...so gonna get some sleep... thank you all again... it helps reading the support ...... makes me feel better at end of day..... hugssssssssss to all...

Update

I wanted to give a update to my friends... to let them know things are a little better here. After being brutely abused by the heat down here in North Carolina... we about finally got the rest of the cleaning done. One room left to do that had no damage done. Door was closed to it... kept out the smoke.. fire and water. So at least youngest got more saved than oldest and myself...

We've pretty much settled into where we are staying with a friend. He's out of town more for work and after alot of talking and crunching numbers this week. He's selling his place to me so we don't have to move again. It worked out for us both. I had no idea he was looking to sell and relocate. So looks like things are gonna work out here.

The girls are still trying to adjust. Teenagers don't like changes all that much i'm finding out...lol But they're doing better. It's been a rough two weeks. But we're finally getting past the major part of the blow.

Thank you all again, for your post and e-mails of support. It's been very helpful to me at night when trying to unwind and get past this all myself. Hugssss to you all.... have a great week.

Jessica,

I'm so glad that things are looking up and you have a home again. I know it'll take time to adjust, but the fact that you are all safe after that is a major thing. Focus on the positive as you deal with all the fallout. You and yours have been in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs and best wishes.
