shiftyw -> Floggers... (7/30/2014 7:56:55 AM)

We have a small flogger.

It is wearing out and was cheap to begin with.
Being a 20 something- I'm not looking to break the bank here.

I'm tempted to just buy off amazon. But I know the quality might not be what I'm looking for, and I'll find myself here again in six months.

I'm just looking for affordable recommendations, with discreet shipping (I live above a business that gets all our mail, if it says "EXTREME RESTRAINTS!" all over the package (or anywhere on the package for that matter, I'm going to be accidentally outed, and I don't want that)?

Bear Things has excellent quality and is reasonable. http://www.bear-things.com/

How discreet is the shipping?

DarkSteven -> RE: Floggers... (7/30/2014 12:55:23 PM)

"We ship via the United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail. All orders are shipped discreetly in plain USPS boxes.
'Ship from' business and billing information will be from Bear Enterprises LLC"

I've ordered from Extreme Restraints, they have discrete shipping, plain package with return address XR LCC. http://www.extremerestraints.com/information/shipping/shipping-information.html

Thanks to both of you!

I ask because when I ordered a vibrator off Adam and Eve, a month later they sent me a v-day promo that was just...a woman's ass. Like I can't even describe it, which was fine at the time- but living here it is not. I'm glad to know both companies ship carefully.

See, I thought every company (or at least the well known ones) knew to practice discretion. It's sensible that way, and every company I've bought from/browsed used that as a selling point. I guess Adam & Eve isn't one of them? Or emails from sex shops should be opened with caution.

I've used all sorts of mail-order companies from all over the place over the years and NEVER had one that wasn't shipped in plain wrappings.

Not an email.

It was physical mail.
It was not sealed, had "adam & eve" all over the outsode and when you unfolded it it was a girl with her ass in the air.

It was a flyer, what I ordered a month previous was in discreet packaging.

I assumed I wouldn't hear from them again, except some spam email, until I ordered again, but I was wrong.

I wasn't talking about emails! [:D]

I haven't heard of Adam & Eve (other than the toddler outfitters) so maybe they are only US??
Usually, US stuff is too expensive when you allow for shipping costs (and sometimes customs charges) so I don't usually bother with most stuff from the US. Same with ebay things too.
But it certainly sounds like they are a two-bit cowboy outfit if they don't use plain wrapping!!

I see Adam & Eve still have the same policy as ever. They put you on a mailing list when you ordered. The catalogs and flyers they send should be in brown wrappers but they are not. I contacted them, got off their mailing list, and never ordered anything from them again.

This article is old - but their policy has been the same for years, and the experience described by Consumerist is identical to yours and mine.

Dear Adam and Eve, Thanks for Letting the World Know I Bought Sex Toys

Some of our floggers were made by Ignixia, owner of Adrenalize Leather. She is more or less local to us, only 90 miles away in Orlando. We bought a matched pair of chap hide floggers from her at a show in Tampa. We tried them on the spot and just had to have them.

She has stock, but also builds to order.

Yes, you are going to get these in discrete packaging. Everybody does that. No, your address is not going on a mailing list LOL.

Adrenalize Leather web site (an Etsy shop)

Her prices are lower than average but everything is hand crafted in her shop. Nothing made in China or Pakistan.

Some of our toys came from Foxy, of Native American Exotics. Ignixia makes classic designs. Foxy makes unusual pieces. For example we have a paddle he made from the tail of an alligator. He is a taxidermist and hunt guide. He has a small stock. Most things are made to order. If you want something similar to a thing you see on his website, just ask him via email or call. If you want a flogger made of horse hair, he's your man.

Having had a BDSM store for 14 years now, altho it is offline at the moment, I would recommend Leatherbeaten from Canada, Ive known them for more than 15 years and I have more than a few floggers of theirs.
They dont use their name on their shipping labels and they dont add you to a mailing list, unless you request it.
Montagues Leather was another one of my favourites. but they were not cheap.

enjoy:)
