Hello, a submissive friend of mine approached me about helping her to regulate her eating habits, she has tendencies to not eat over the course of several days and this can place her in risk due to some medical conditions. What are some methods that have been used or do you think can be effective in helping to regulate her eating, I'm not looking for how to reward/punish, but more of the logistical and organizational aspect of this.

Thank you for your time.

Yours is a situation opposite of my experiences. I am often denied the opportunity to eat as a form of reinforcement of my owner's control over me. You have described her as a submissive friend. Does this mean you take on the dominant role over her? If so, why not use that to command her to eat? If humiliation is part of your play, make her eat from a dog-bowl. Or eat food off a part of your body. Possibilities are endless.

Yes I will take the dominant role, the problem with simply ordering her is that she has memory issues which is part of why she doesn't eat- she simply forgets to. So I need it to be a little more actively oriented. Unfortunately due to my work I can only see her in person on the weekends, I have instituted a food journal but I'm looking for some more ideas to help find creative ways to remind and motivate her.

Have her set alarms on her cell phone to remind her to eat, then have her email her food journal to you daily.

Yes cell phone alarms would work, or if she works at a computer she could set reminders in Outlook.

Sticky notes in strategic places.

A food diary. If she has a smart phone she could download the myfitnesspal app, and log what she eats as she goes about her day. It takes seconds, and you could monitor via the website to make sure she is doing it and eating enough. If not, get her a small diary and prompt her to fill it in at every mealtime/bedtime.

A set day of the week to go shopping for groceries. Perhaps she could be instructed to cook a large batch of something once a week and freeze leftovers so she always has a nutritious meal that just needs warming up. Or if her lifestyle is very busy, you could remind her daily/weekly to stock her bag or car with suitable snacks. You could do all this with her at the weekend.

Does she have a crock pot? You could remind her (via texts, calls, phone alarms etc) to put food in it in the morning. The smell of hot food will remind her to eat it when she gets home.

Why is it that she does not feel hunger? Is she on meds that kill appetite?

Have her set her cell phone for an alarm. Have her text you when she eats. You can text her to tell her to. If she doesn't then the consequence could be loss of a privilege. No watching her favorite tv show. Or no going out shopping after work until she does eat.
Have her go to lunch with a coworker once a week.

On the weekends, oversee her shopping for food she can quickly eat. If her job doesn't have a fridge, then have her buy an insulated lunch box and pack things like yogurt and small packs of nuts. She can make a week's worth of sandwiches and freeze them. Make sure she also brings plastic spoons if necessary and napkins.

If she handles liquids better, then she should make smoothies and freeze them in individual cups. They should defrost by lunch time.

Breakfast burritos, again freeze and microwave.

Individual packs of oatmeal. Or put a portion of dry cereal into sandwich bags to grab and snack on.

One simple word: Structure. Structure. Structure.

If you hold her to a schedule and she adheres to that schedule she will get into the habit of eating regularly. Her body will basically take over from there because it will be used to eating at certain times. A good many people do not have time to cook, while I detest frozen dinners at the supermarket, I suppose they are better than eating nothing. A crock pot is an excellent suggestion because they really require very little effort and you can prepare meals in advance, freeze them and then put them in the crock pot. http://www.mommysfabulousfinds.com/2013/10/easy-crock-pot-freezer-meals-2.html and there are thousands more out on the web if need be. If you are able to have time together, making those meals together would allow you to not only spend time doing something fun but also give you the knowledge that she does, in fact, have meals available for her.

People with memory problems tend to get a lot of benefit from little notes left at various places they frequent, like the bathroom, living room, their car, their work desk, etc. Daily checklists for routine things tend to help remind them to do things as well as give you feedback on whether or not they are following through.

Best of luck to you!
