Status: offline 		A technical question maybe.

I see a profile on collar space that interests me. Compose a thoughtful message after reading the profile, press send, and a message comes back 'user profile not found'.

What does that mean? the user noticed me looking, checked me out, decided they didn't like what they saw, and blocked me before I could send the message?

That's a bit unnecessary surely? A polite thanks but no thanks is better surely?

Status: offline 		If you were blocked you would receive a message after clicking "send" telling you that the user has blocked you.

Status: offline 		They may have just hidden it. But, I hasten to add, you shouldn't take that personally. Perhaps in the time you spent composing your message she might have been chatting with an asshole who got on her nerves and she decided to hide her profile for a while. I've done that from time to time just to get a break from the horny net geeks and men who believe that "dom" gives them the right to be obnoxious assholes.

Just a bit miffed as it was, in my opinion, a well crafted opening message that was certain to be well received! ;-)
plus I didn't make a copy :-(

Fingers crossed it got through anyway, and when the user reveals themselves once more it'll be waiting in their inbox.

Status: offline 		Even though she hid her profile, your message appeared in her inbox when you sent it. When she hid her profile, that didn't hide it from her, it just doesn't show her profile when she logs on. A large number of us (women) who have been here longer than a few months hide our profiles from time to time for our own relief.

1. As others have said, the message got through.
2. Don't get worried/upset if people block you or don't respond. They don't owe you anything. Most people don't bother with the "thanks but no thanks" because they don't want to open up the door to pleas, tirades and the like from someone they're not interested in.
3. No matter how well crafted your message, you can expect a high rate of non response. That's just the nature of online.

Agreed. I will add that for all the times I have broken down and said "thanks but no thanks" to someone, not one said "ok, have a good one" or something similar. Either they'll go into the tirades or demand an explanation so that they can pick it apart.
