You have to show evidence that the President knew of the 30-day requirement. At current, there is no evidence to be had. The White House Counsel would likely not have to give him this information, because its within the realm of the DoD's duties. It would be the counsel of the DoD giving the DoD information on how the law would be followed. So perhaps the counsel of the DoD should be consulted to determine wrong doing if any.

I know this will come as a complete shock to you, but, the President is a rather busy guy (unlike those Republican/Tea Partiers in Congress).

Really, Obama was the poster? How am I attacking the poster? There isn't a single ad hominem in here. I don't use ad hominems. "Pathetic" is as should be clear from the context a comment on Obama, not on the poster. So you ought to retract your first statement. It's false.

As to no evidence of that -- well, do you think Obama is going to make a big announcement of that? There is a basic standard here. It beggars belief that Obama would not have been informed about that requirement. That's where there is an Office of the White House Counsel. That's why there is a DoD Counsel. It is far more difficult to consider the possibility that Obama didn't know than that he did. For something of that magnitude, of course Obama would be informed. But then again, Obama never knows. Someone is always there to take the fall. Harry Truman is rolling in his grave.

I'm sorry, but it sort of beggars belief that no one would have given the President this information when he ordered this course of action. Or when he asked for recommendations on how to proceed when the situation first came up. There are quite a few people working in the White House whose job it is to be sure the Pres has whatever information he needs. Are you saying that none of them looked this up?
