You've been sucking too much Sanity cock.

When you find yourself slinging homophobic slurs in defense of a racist like Harry Reid, then a few posts later you claim that you're non-partisan... Perhaps you had ought to rethink things.

It could be you would feel more at home as a choir boy in the Oral Robert's moral majority?

Something to consider.

Musicmystery -> RE: Harry Reid Tells Asians He Can't Keep His Wongs Straight (8/24/2014 10:36:04 AM)

Not counting enlightened beings who have busy productive lives not involving 24/7 buy in to a contentious political board on a kink site that simply repeats the same predictable cycles from the same predictable people (and their socks) over and over and over and over.

Not exactly the social justice cause célèbre of our times.

But "counting Wongs"? That's simply bizarre.

Nah. It's completely in character for a rich old white guy who only feels comfortable around the same. Not really any different than if he'd done an NAACP event, and cracked off about all the Presidential last names. It's the same mentality that made him think of Obama's advantage of being clean, light-skinned, and only talking black when it served his purposes.

Reid's pretty vile. I hope he gets demoted in November.

I can sort of see the "productive"/"smarter" comment as an ill-thought-out compliment that went awry. That happens to me sometimes.

But the "Wongs" comment? That's simply bizarre.

Now, if he'd said he couldn't keep his bongs straight . . .

I know an Asian girl, who liked to prank call Chinese restaurants and ask if Ping or Pong was there, and the last time she tried it they went and got Ping for her.

True story

You only get weirder and weirder.

You're the #1 partisan puppet, consistently and vociferously, so much so that you're the poster child for it -- and that got demonstrated here today.

Twist and turn, spin and obfuscate as you like, but there it is.

The rest is your continuing, predictable bizarre invention of positions when you have nothing (which is all the time) to address the actual point at hand.

Another debate with a phantom.

Nope. Yet we both find some time to kick around in here, and it never really took me that long to mention that birthers are idiots.

Speaking of lives though, it's far too nice today to be in front of a screen.

Have a happy day.

An while we kid ourselves on who might have said what that was sort of racist; the Tea Party actively has people that...ARE...racist. And not only say racist things as a norm, but (in some cases) act on those anti racial thoughts. Google is chalked full of examples of the Tea Party as a whole (not individual statements from the Democrats or the hundreds from the GOP), making & acting upon racist statements.

Even that character, Clive Bundy earlier this year was making racist statements while enjoying the full support of many right wing nuts for a variety of sources; including the Tea Party!

Politicians will say all sorts of wild and whacky stuff. Heck, even former President George W. Bush state a huge amount of truly off the wall stuff back in his day. 'Bushisms' it became known as. On the subject of race relations, the question I have is....why is it important to discriminate when talking to a group of people, based on their skin color or nationality? Aren't we all immigrants (including the Native American population) from somewhere else? And that we are all US Citizens, means we are all Americans. This nation will be dealing with racism for the rest of its existence. So long as people wish to be treated differently (in a positive light), they will be treated differently (in a negative light). The words and actions of individuals of groups not known for racism in the current age and year can be overlooked. Individuals and groups that use racism to fuel their hatred and destructive nature can NEVER BE IGNORED.

what black and white? I was going by what YOU said...

maybe you can list a few of these recalls instigated by repubs that supports your claim...

I am sure there are some, but your statment implies its exclusively a REPUB play Mr. NON-PARTISAN guy

Musicmystery -> RE: Harry Reid Tells Asians He Can't Keep His Wongs Straight (8/24/2014 12:01:25 PM)

Which, Einstein, is what I meant by the black and white reading you not only brought to it, but are now doubling down on.

So yet again . . . sorry. I forgot in your world everything is black and white. And that ego trumps reading comprehension.

WOW I guess DK is right, I must be the dumbest poster on this forum that I couldn't comprehend such a SIMPLE and STRAIGHT FORWARD statement as

"No, recalling people when you lose the election is a Republican play."

was that supposed to be IRONIC, or SARCASTIC? exactly HOW did I miscomprehend that statement?

please explain it to this poor dumb SOB

Musicmystery -> RE: Harry Reid Tells Asians He Can't Keep His Wongs Straight (8/24/2014 12:21:38 PM)

Oh FFS. I already acknowledged, twice, now three times, that yes, it's not strictly black and white true, and yet, you're still befuddled.

You're a special brand of stupid. I don't think I can help you.

I do think it's fair to acknowledge that, if the preponderance of instances leans one way, it indicates that's the likelihood.

You apparently don't. Good for you.

But I don't think I can help you.

In an intensely awkward congressional hearing of the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Thursday, freshman Rep. Curt Clawson misidentified two senior U.S. government officials as representatives of the Indian government.
The two officials, Nisha Biswal and Arun Kumar, are Americans who hold senior positions at the State Department and Commerce Department, respectively. Although both Biswal and Kumar were introduced as U.S. officials by the chairman of the Asia and Pacific subcommittee, Clawson repeatedly asked them questions about "your country" and "your government," in reference to the state of India.
"I'm familiar with your country; I love your country," the Florida Republican said. "Anything I can do to make the relationship with India better, I'm willing and enthusiastic about doing so."
Apparently confused by their Indian surnames and skin color, Clawson also asked if "their" government could loosen restrictions on U.S. capital investments in India.
"Just as your capital is welcome here to produce good-paying jobs in the U.S., I'd like our capital to be welcome there," he said. "I ask cooperation and commitment and priority from your government in so doing. Can I have that?"
The question prompted a lengthy pause and looks of confusion from State Department and congressional staff attending the hearing.
"I think your question is to the Indian government," Biswal said. "We certainly share your sentiment, and we certainly will advocate that on behalf of the U.S."

Lucy, you trot out a freshman Republican. Clearly, pretty stupid, I agree. Right up there with POTUS's "corpsman" which obviously was blatant ignorance and an indication his brain ain't quite what it's been cracked up to be. Agree with him or not, Dr. Ben Carson has more intelligence in one hemispheric lobe than Obama in his entire brain. As for your reference to Clawson's obvious stupidity, how does that exactly compare to the SENATE MAJORITY LEADER's continually making abject racist comments. Maybe after Reid dies, he'll join Robert Byrd in KKK meetings in hell. But at least Byrd was smart but racist. Reid is a stupid and racist. Of course, Maxine Waters is a communist and a racist, but she's black, so she gets a pass. Speaking of stupidity, while you're right about Clawson, I can assure you that stupidity is equally prevalent among Democrats in Congress.

Naw....get off your fallacy machine.

I'm not the board police. Failure to denounce dumb shit doesn't mean agreement with it, whatever ridiculous "rules" you invent.

Hell, denouncing dumb shit here would be a full time gig.

You made a comment, without restriction, that recalling elected politicians was a Republican tactic. Walker is an obvious and glaring exception.

But you did leave something out. Investigating and indicting elected Republican officials who have actually done nothing wrong is a uniquely Democratic tactic. Criminalizing the behavior of those whom you disagree with is ethically revolting. You know, I don't agree with you, but if you were elected, I wouldn't try to prosecute you. Apparently, that dog don't hunt in Texas, though. NJ, either. WI, either. Or in the executive branch.

I've heard people pronounce 'Corpsmen' as both 'Corpse Men' and 'Core Men'. Just as I've heard people pronounce Worcester, MA as 'War Chester, MA". Or native Bastonian: Bastin, Mass' to those outside as 'Boston, MA'. Not everyone speaks the American English language the exact same way. It takes intelligence and an education to help determine what the person might have stated. It also takes being a decent and good person to acknowledge what the person might have stated without teasing to much.

While the Bushisms can be amusing and funny, I have to wonder what sort of pressures were on the man at the time. When we hear politicians make gafts, we are not privileged to their schedule. That we foolishly assume they are well rested and relaxed. Go back and look at those individual's schedule for the day and the ones before it. Getting 4 hours of actual sleep, hopped up on caffeine, and a very busy schedule over a period of a week; and you have the recipe for weird and dumb things to get spoken. When President Obama stated 57 states, what was he doing before than? Campaigning across multiple states, pushing his body like it was a 20 year olds? I can rattle off dozens upon dozens of politicians from both the Democrat and Republican sides that stated weird and dumb stuff to not being well rested and relaxed. And then there are people that say dumb shit, because they are dumb as shit (i.e. Sarah Palin). And there are people that say weird shit, because they are weird as shit (i.e. Rand Paul). Curious how they are both favorites of the Tea Party....

But when groups of people behave in a racist way and over a length of time (i.e. the Tea Party), the same view on individuals can not be taken. The Tea Party is an organization that attracts racists like the 1%er's attract the Republican Party.
