When I feel like that, NO-ONE sees it, it doesn't get out. *I* deal with it, pick myself up, put the pieces back together.... meanwhile I'm probably juggling a number of other peoples problems and supporting them through the process of getting to the other side.

One thing I have noticed. People are used to seeing this rock, reliable and unshakeable. The few times there has been a chink in the armour and people around me catch a glimpse of the fact I am a normal human being... suddenly there aren't that many people around me any more. They can't cope, they run, they are not missed (Most of them at least).

(Highlighting done by me for emphasis)

i realize that i am not Dominant, but i tend to do the same when i am hurting, deal with it on my own, don't want others to see, get a handle on it, then i'm okay to face the world.

For the part that i highlighted, i think that is really sad, that some "demand" a Dominant be a rock all the time.

More often than not those are aquaintences, not friends and to some extent I understand it. Me being the stable one gives them a sense of security.... They loose that security and... Oh gosh, can't cope, run away.

I'm used to it.

I know exactly what you mean here RavenMuse.

I would like to thank everyone for their thoughtful replies. Ya'll have given me something to really think about and I have been doing alot of thinking the past couple of days. KoM, you always manage to say just the right words, I think that you should be a therapist [:D]

As ya'll know, I am moving to Savannah. I know that the move is the right thing to do, but I am giving up alot to move there, with nothing but my pup as incentive. I am excited and scared at the same time. I found a house on the Savannah river and it is extremely secluded (Which is a very good thing!) but it is a very scary thing too lol The amenities are plenty, I will have my own boat dock and the view is spectacular. All of this can't compare with the beauty of my pups smile, as he is very happy that I am moving to be closer to him. I feel better today than I did yesterday, and hopefully not as well as I will feel tomorrow. Thanks again for the wonderful responses.

MoG.... I glad my clumsey words helped alittle.  I would also add that change can often be a scary thing.  I can only suggest that you focus on the positives that are motivating you to make the changes and less focus on that which will deter you.  I would also suggest that their is alot more than just Pup that is motivating you.  That beauty house on the river seems to be a motivating force all by itself.  Pup  just happens to be the catlyst that got all these things moving.  It's time that you look to all the incredible doors that you have openned because of the one door you open that is Pup. (like a lovely house on the river).

Good Luck and Take Care.

KoM
