There needs to be a law
But wait, there is.
And it didn't have to say you can't set fire to your children!

Musicmystery -> RE: Four more pointless deaths (8/29/2014 9:28:19 PM)

Yawn.

More ranting from the guy with the gun-barrel up his butt.

TheHeretic -> RE: Four more pointless deaths (8/29/2014 10:52:10 PM)

Some young guy died pointlessly here last weekend, and damn near took two of his friends with him. He was driving at over 100 miles an hour on a back road, lost control and rolled repeatedly out into the desert.

We need a law that makes it illegal to drive that fast.

Oh wait. Nevermind.

If your going to include a link to justify another firearm political rant.....try....to make the link actually work!

You cant set children on fire, that's called 'Child Abuse'. And there are a number of laws already on the books for it. Where as there is no law in letting a child under the age of 18 to have a fully loaded, full automatic firearm. I think we all found how....dumb....of an idea that was.

SO.........you can't set your child on fire, there is a law. Yes he is right, down here in Texas during the dry summer we have "burn bans". The authorities get quite upset when you set your child on fire with out the proper precautions.

eulero83 -> RE: Four more pointless deaths (8/30/2014 8:20:05 AM)

actually it's called infanticide, that's more serious than child abuse.

AQRMZ -> RE: Four more pointless deaths (8/30/2014 8:33:58 AM)

whatever...........................sourcasam dude, get it?

In that other thread you want to talk about the range owner said that child endangerment laws would come into play. However the person who endangered the child is dead. Not a gun thread but a child protection thread.
You want to put protecting children on the back burner in order to go after guns.

As usual you miss all the points.
Nobody approved of giving a 10 year old a full auto.
In your rush to claim the need for a new gun law you forget that he could have done something stupid with an inexperienced adult. The requirement there was to review standards for instructors.

You really have this silly fantasy that is 'all about the guns'. That I really 'want and crave to take your guns away from you'. And its based on no real evidence.

There should be a regulation banning full and burst fired weapons from anyone under the age of 18. What happened at that gun range is very evidence of that. If such a law was in place, that person would most likely not be dead right now. It must be surprising that I'm actually advocating a firearm owner being required to do something, so they don't do something...truly....stupid. Since you never seem to care of those Americans whom for what ever reason do not have firearms.

If no one approved of giving the kid a full automatic firearm, explain the dead guy on the deck? Or did you just filter out reality to attack me on more bullshit?

The difference between an inexperienced adult and inexperienced child, is the adult can most likely...THINK FOR THEMSELVES.....

That they might ask the instructor a second or third time if their stance is correct, how the weapon is held, and others information. A child's brain has not developed to an equal ability at nine years of age. Or unless your stating you have massive and fully verifiable evidence that shows neuroscience is all wrong? The child will accept the situation believing, and with faith, that the adult isn't a total idiot or completely careless with firearms.

Yet again, you didn't bother to engage your brain and consider what BamaD stated....

And the points? How can I check the link if I stated the link is not working? In fact, I just checked it, and yet again, I got 'Server Error 404'.

Don't you hate those links to news media websites... they delete the story the day after it runs on the average and you can't find it again.

Is this link the case cited?

Do you stand over a mechanic, a plumber, carpenter or an electrician and try to tell them how to do their job? Same thing. We are still at instructor certification.

Nice dodge. Couldn't answer the central question, could you? Because that would have shown your...FULL OF SHIT!

I have enough trust not to stand over my mechanic, plumber, carpenter, and electrician. Are you saying you fully trust 9 year old girls to safely handle fully loaded, full automatic firearms?

If the instructor was intelligent and a good bit of common sense (they call it wisdom in some places); he would never have placed that kid in that situation....the hell with what the parents demand. One would think someone that handles firearms for a living, would known when something is a stupid and/or unsafe idea.

I guess we'll have to include into the certification process the question of whether its intelligent and/or good sense to give a small child a fully loaded, full automatic weapon to fire. When they say 'yes it is', they fail in their qualification. The level of 'stupid' one has to descend to arrive that this was an 'ok' idea, is the basis to SERIOUSLY question anyone's right to a firearm in the same situation.

Every conservative on here has said it was stupid for the instructor to give the kid a full auto. You would know that if you had paid attention instead of attacking what you assumed would be said. So it is you who are full of shit.

truckinslave -> RE: Four more pointless deaths (8/31/2014 6:11:33 PM)

Was it stupid?
Yes.
Can we please just go ahead and outlaw stupid?
I'm sure we can trick Pelosi Reid and 0bama0 into believing they're voting for or signing a law outlawing global warming.

"I'm rubber your glue! What ever you say, bounces off me and sticks to you."

Grow up BamaD....

There are two groups of firearm conservative/libertarians on here: Gun Owners and Gun Nuts. The first group has acknowledged that reasonable regulations might have to be put into place to prevent the truly stupid from doing this again. Yeah, its an annoyance since most of us would never do something so foolish and stupid. But then again, most of us know that charging into a crowded theater and saying 'Fire' is also not a good idea; but every once in a while, some idiot does it for a prank. Gun Nuts on the other hand, can not seem to understand what the problem is or blames the whole thing on the little girl. Since firearms (according to this deluded group) bestow +30 IQ points when on their person; reality is, the firearm does nothing. Why do we allow idiots to have firearms again? So stuff like this can happen.

Maybe we should seriously ask the question: Why do we allow idiots and fools to have firearms, and/or, allow them to train others?
