DesideriScuri -> Some heads better roll... (8/30/2014 3:01:37 PM)

I'm surprised this hasn't come up yet...

I do hope all involved in the illegal activities receive proper punishment for their actions.

I was surprised that Rand Paul would stoop so low as to bribe a State Senator for support of his campaign. I was doubly surprised that it was Ron Paul's campaign that did this, not Rand's.

I sure hope Ron Paul wasn't actively involved and didn't know about the bribe. I would be extremely disappointed if he was/did.

Again, whoever was involved in the illegal activities should receive punishment according to the law.

Let's wait on just what the Pauls' knew and even though it was a most logical switch in support...Sorenson will suffer what the law allows I am sure.

It is very possible and I am withholding judgement, that the Pauls' knew nothing of this.

Rand isn't part of this. It was just where my mind went since Ron isn't a Representative anymore. That was before I got into the story enough to see the dates and stuff. Thought it was "current."

There are more hands in this pot than just Sorensen's, though. Tate from C4L (a Ron Paul website), a higher up in the McConnell campaign team, etc. It sure doesn't look like they're clean, either. The only link I've seen to Ron Paul is that it was his campaign that made the $$ arrangements. The campaign could have acted without Paul knowing, but it couldn't have acted without a whole bunch of these other guys knowing.

joether -> RE: Some heads better roll... (8/31/2014 4:31:10 AM)

All persons are assumed innocent until proven guilty of the crime(s) they are accused. I may dislike former Rep. Ron Paul and his son, Sen. Rand Paul., but unless evidence is shown in a court to prove either or both are guilty, I will stay on the side of 'innocent'. Its a problem this nation has as a whole, that if the person accused of a crime is of the party or philosophy opposite of themselves (assuming Dems & Reps, and, conservatives, and, liberals are opposites); they assume the person....HAS TO BE....guilty. And that shows a failing of one of the core values of the United States.

FR -

I see where Mitch McConnell's re-election campaign manager just resigned over this matter.
