Hello, I'm a long way from new to the site. I've been here for many years, under a different name. To no one's surprise and shock, I am a pretty kinky bastard. But you can read about that in my profile if you like. In the everyday vanilla world, I'm an ex-computer nerd now thrust into Perdition's blackness of middle management. I crunch numbers and approve or deny computer and technology purchases. I will pause for a moment while you weep for me.

In my alternate life where all is happy and unicorns fart rainbows, I would be a professor of history, specializing in military, cultural, architectural, technology, and science. (I did say that unicorns fart rainbows here so I can have a lot of different and disparate interests). I love trivia. I can spout random facts until you contemplate violent action.

I'm a veteran and a fairly liberal Democrat-leaning voter. But I support veteran's affairs and a strong military. Also with a National Health Plan, similar to the ACA (which was a good start) but with much broader coverages. I will not get into long debates regarding this, nor religion (though I will happily tell you about my eclectic belief system if you ask).

'Curmudgeonly' is often used to describe me, probably with a grain of truth. I firmly believe in proper grammar, the Oxford comma, and two spaces after a period.

Also, you kids get out of my yard!
