ShaharThorne -> September Roll Call! (9/1/2014 4:42:44 PM)

This is going to be a busy month for me. Doing water therapy and physical therapy for my back (strengthening the core muscles after surgery), visiting MHMR about my bipolar and PTSD and SHOPPING! I am also craving chicken gizzards again, so we might get those Wednesday. I turned my Mom on to Jewish rye bread and she loves having black forest ham with it (I love the irony). I am also walking about 10 minutes a day in the early mornings before the heat and humidity hits us. I am working on minion caps for Aylee's kiddos. Told Mom she has to sew the buttons on the eyes. Finished ALL the afghans I was working on for Christmas presents. I have to break down and get new panties...I believe in wearing my stuff out to where they are rags basically...when the elastic is shot and the fabric tears away from it. Personally, they don't make clothes like they used to.

Time to take my pills. I left my sleeping pills in Austin and Lizard has not shipped them to me yet. Have not been getting any sleep...cherry Nyquil, here I come!

Hello all!
Shahar- good luck on all those things, especially all those therapy appointments!

September means..I have some time.
Something is going wrong with my thyroid, or something. I have a whole laundry list of symptoms. No one will listen to me and its time to advocate for myself until someone will test my T3 and thyroid antibodies again.
I'm trying to get back into eating well- my focus has been on work- and I need to start taking care of myself.
Fall is here, and I'm psyched out of my mind to bake pumpkin things.
We also continued our CSA- but included meat this time! 15 lbs of local meat a week! I'm so excited!
ETA- And I think I might dye my hair! Like a strawberry blonde with some blonde highlights. We'll see.

Hi all. We've started a family business. Which has picked up and is off to a great start. We are about to get busy with our costumes for vampires ball in NOLA this Halloween. Before that is the brats birthday. I'm thinking a bday cake with brains, half eaten arms etc would be cool. She's into that.
Other than that, we are great.
Shar I hope all goes well!!
Shifty I hope your voice becomes heard! :)

I am coming to the end of the awful 2ww. If you know what that means, you will know the nervous.

Hello all. Things are going great here. I'm doing great, Generic Dude is doing great, slave is doing great. Life is good.

GD bought he and I new bicycles and we've been cruising the local bike trails.

I've been a canning freak again this year. I recreated GD's fav green salsa and make 15 jars. Did around 30 jars of one of my favs, pickled beets. The apple trees were barren this year so I tried something new........pear sauce. It turned out way better than I expected. I did a dozen jars of marinara and will likely do another big batch of that as well as some plain tomatoes and some regular salsa. I grew some sugar (Pie) pumpkins this year so will be canning pumpkin and pumpkin butter. After that, gonna chop and freeze the rest of the onions and basil, then call it good for the year.

Needless to say, my veggie garden did wayyyyy better than I expected.

Starting to prepare for winter. New tires on the old dodge truck. We will be residing the house and replacing a couple of windows and a door in the next month or two. I've also got to buy a few trailer loads of hay for the horses.

One of the canine fur babies scared the shit out of me last month. She started losing weight dramatically and had non stop diarrhea. She was a shitting, walking skeleton. After a lot of research and a VERY expensive trip to the vet, she was diagnosed with EPI. Fortunately it's easily treated, though expensive. After a month of treatment she is back up to her normal weight and all is well.

We have a couple more weeks to try and find a camper in Generic Dude's price range and my, acceptable to sleep in range.......before the big fall family gathering. Wish us luck!

September is a rough month. I have a good friends funeral and wake, and a lot of family things to attend to. I'm hoping to go back on a diet, as I got in the horrible habit of only drinking pop and fancy coffee. Everytime things get too busy, I revert back. I need to sew my stupid Elsa costume (I am a sucker) . Need to catch up on bills work and get moving on house repairs before the holidays and winter months . Hoping to squeeze in playtime somewhere, completely stressed beyond all.

^^^AnnaOphelia, so sorry about your friend. Not a cheery way to end the summer :-(

This month starts a crazy schedule with the band that continues 'til at least the end of the year. We go into the studio to begin work on our 2nd CD, have either local gigs (one quite spectacular!) or out of area festivals every weekend (sometimes more than 2 per in disparate locations requiring lots of travel time in between). Just found out we've been invited by a prominent northern CA radio station to do a 2-hour interview/concert in-house which should boost the quality of our bookings even further.

This has been a time of incredible musical and personal growth for me. In the past, I've been the lead in my bands and as such, always the one to elevate, support, and direct the other players. For the first time, I'm now the one being supported. When I head into a particularly challenging part, I can physically feel the elevated platform the boys build for me to launch. I biff, they continue to rock steady, relaxed and smiling the whole time. They help me find my own voice. Any one of these guys is a complete show unto himself; put them together and it's nothing short of magic. Everybody loves them, and apparently they're satisfied with my joining them. I've never been this happy or inspired in my life. It's wonderful!

Harvest came early this year due to the spectacular weather we had this summer. S and I began yesterday and will continue through the weekend to wrap things up for the year. I'll have to drop in and out due to gigs. The repetitive-motion strain on my hands, arms and shoulders are not doing my music any favors but it must be done for us to finish on time. Make it through each day on ice and TENS.

To those floating away in other parts of the US, please send rain. We are desperate. Our water tables are so low the wells have been contaminated with algae blooms and we can't drink our tap water without extensive filtration.

Happy fall, y'all!

AnnaOphelia -> RE: September Roll Call! (9/5/2014 12:23:33 AM)

I wish I could send you rain! That's how we have housing damage, so much flooding

InHisHeart -> RE: September Roll Call! (9/7/2014 10:04:39 AM)

I can't believe how quickly the summer went by.

I've been away from Master since mid-June and not sure when I'll be going back home. I came back to PA to visit my family, planned on a 3 week visit but while I was here my mom got sick so I've been running her to doctors, to specialists, for all kinds of tests and doing her errands for her. She's slowly on the mend but has to go for a bladder and kidney scan tomorrow. If all goes well with the scan and she starts feeling better, I plan on getting back to NC in 2 weeks. Due to all this, I put off having the follow up MRI I was supposed to have last week and the wrist surgery for Avascular Necrosis so I'll continue donning the wrist splint until whenever.

Best wishes and positive thoughts to all!

It's so nice to catch up with everyone. [:)]

I collared my boy on September 6 in a small ceremony attended by around thirty people and followed by a play party to celebrate. I made his collar, which isn't really suitable for daily vanilla wearing, so I also got him a sterling silver anklet which he wears always. It can be hidden by his socks in vanilla public which avoids uncomfortable questions. He got me a necklace with a teensy key on it, he said symbolizing the key I hold to his heart and his chastity. He is such a very good boy and we're so very happy. [:D]
