Honestly, I don't know. Saturday I made plans with a sub, he blew me off by blocking me from his aim. Yesterday I made plans with another sub, he never called back. Tonight I was supposed to meet a different one, who's now not answering his phone. Honestly, what is it? Do you guys get scared at the last minute, or are you fake from the get-go? What kind of thrills do you get out of that? All three of these subs seemed completely sincere, and they were the ones who actually suggested meeting in the first place, so I really don't get it. Any insight?

Looks to me like you invest about 15 minutes in getting to know them, which is about enough time for them to spank the monkey. Maybe you'll have better luck if you go for quality instead of quantity.

Maybe you are just having a run of bad luck. From what I have experienced on here, it seems like most of the domme's I've talked to and tried to meet are fake and some of the subs too. Everyone talks big until its time to meet and then I get hung out to dry. I totally understand, its very frustrating at times. But I guess you just have to keep trying or move on. sublace

Any insight? Sure have them send something valuable to a post office box, it need not be tribute. Just something that they want back badly enough not to pull this crap. Is there just a convention or anything as we seem to be having a rash of people saying that other people are all fakes? Is there a full moon or something to bring all these people out?

Being into BDSM is no cure for being stood up as many are by blind dates. I wouldn't take it personally... just scream out "NEXT". I do have to ask, why post this question in the "ask a submissive" forum? Just because some a-holes you met on the net stood you up doesn't mean we are all fakes any more than just because a lot of dom/mes do a disappearing act means they are all fakes.

Like others have said... the common element here is... well.. you. However, that being said, yes, I have seen lots of male subs who get "stage fright" when it comes down to meeting in person. That being said I've also seen lots of female tops, female bottoms, and male tops too who suddenly realize that all of the talk they did online.... doesn't live up to reality, and they really ARE happier just hiding in the basement, typing away. My solution to the "stand-up" (Though honestly I've only ever been 'stood up' once - and that turned out to be a timing error) - dont meet one on one. I insist that if people want to meet me, they'll come to a munch. That way I still meet lots of new folks, but if someone doesn't show, I still am going anyways and can meet with my friends. Yep... it does "scare" the people who aren't willing to be "public" yet. However since I am HIGHLY public with my lifestyle... I'm not going to be particularly compatible with someone who isn't at least willing to go to a pub. Alternately with people who I think have a lot of potential... but who are very shy and nervous about a large group of people - i've offered that they can meet for coffee with me and a small (2-3) group of friends. If they dont show (it's happened once) then I'm still out for coffee with friends... and if they do.. then they meet me... and the people I care for. (plus.. there's bonus points for the safety aspect of a group... and the snob factor that if we dont click... you might click with one of the others in the group...)

Any insight? I'd tend to agree that maybe you're interviewing skills aren't the best--tighten up a bit, I've never had a no show, and only one sub that came unglued due to things not working out.

You know I was just thinkin' the other day about some of the male slaves, I can't remember who it was but as I was reading the ask a mistress section I was suddenly humbled by how sincere quite a few of the male slaves were. We have some here who truly seem to only want to please, who are good thinkers and who articulate themselves very well... In an age of Collarme where we have benji and peterk50 I'd have to say that at least through my eyes your assessment is way off...

I think if you took time to get to realy know them befor jumping into meting them things may work out better. I usely take 6 mounts befor I ever let them met Me that way if there still there them you know there not going to back out.Slow down and take some time...
