Lying on the porch looking up at the stars
Wishing of things past and loves lost
The embers grow dim as we lay here with one another
I grab for your hand and whisper some words to you
"Someday you'll find that true love"
"I'd love for it to be me but the distance"
"It seems almost as if your are the earth and I the stars"
"Someday, someday my dear sweet girl" I kiss you on the cheek
The light from the embers grow soft as dawn breaks
It finds us cuddled on the swing asleep in an embrace
The Embers die when the drawn breaks as we swing gently
