Yes it's all fun and games until someone has to get their leg stapled shut. Master has joked since i met him. Good thing we bought the stapler at Beyond Leather two years ago. We didn't play with it like we thought we would because it just doesn't hurt enough. Well now "don't worry I have a stapler" isn't a joke any more. It is still funny though. We would have just thrown down an old towel for me to bleed on and kept playing except that he wanted to try to not have a scar through the middle of my tattoo. Master is such a giver. He really is a romantic sweetheart as well as a wicked sadist. I'm sure I will be punished for telling. [:D]. If He really had wanted to torture me, He would have made me go get stitches. Forcing me to do it would be the only way i was going to the emergency room where they have sick people just to get 5 stitches. But it was our anniversary, so instead of torturing me, He beat my ass while i was laying down resting my leg. Is it any wonder i love this man so much.

It is the most comfortable cross i have been on. It's not the first time i have bled on that cross, just the first that we needed to stop to staple me. The only thing i would possible change about the design is that i would make the foot rests just a little bit longer. The front edge of them stops at the ball of my foot and after a couple hours of toe wiggling, the piggies start to go to sleep because the wood is cutting off the circulation to them. That is easily solved though, by turning me around and then i have to face what is coming at me. But then i can gaze lovingly into Master's eyes as He tortures my tits,etc.

LOL
the extremes we go through for the one's we love the most

~~~FRing....
Damn.....I know I'm not a pain slut. One of my play partners told me once that I have been able to handle the longest & hardest paddling he has ever given anyone, so he thinks I DO have a high pain tolerance. But I know better.... Knives and blood....followed by staples?? YIKES!!! [sm=binky.gif][sm=hellno.gif]
But I do agree....it is still a very sweet and romantic love story in its own warped way.....
Congratulations to you both RS
Thank you for the close-up, and the extra details.
And now, back to the mushy thread of love.
Two things surprised me about reactions to this post. First stapling her up at home never struck either of us as anything extra ordinary until we saw it from Crazyml's perspective. Now that I think of it, I guess home suturing isn't the average medical response to a wound that needs minor surgery.
The other is how prominent the romantic aspect is being viewed. I was telling of the day's events to create an ambiance for the background of the accident story because it was the "you stabbed me on our anniversary" aspect that made it interesting. I didn't realize how much our passions show. So as you humorously pointed out, this is being received as a "mushy thread of love" as much as it is a unusual "accidents will happen thread".
We are very romantic. I still write her love letters. We live together and I can tell her anything I need to say verbally, but I still take time and pay respect by sitting down to focus on writing her love letters. For me it is a tangible homage to her and our relationship. For a slave stabbing sadist, I guess I am just a big hearted softy. When samdarella woke up on our anniversary, besides the flowers and card, she found this note on the bedroom door. Now that's mushy!
<wipes tear>
It is just so <fans face> lovely that under that wife stabbing home suturing exterior lies a big old softie <sniff>
So... essentially RS, it seems like your experience is that it is possible to be a properly kinky dominant bastard, and also maintain a loving, mutually awesome relationship?
And that shit is good to know.
I think it's good, and important, that you highlighted the context, firstly because there is an assumption made by many that the kind of hard core kink some in the community must be part of an unhealthy or abusive relationship. It's a positive thing that you can set that straight.
Secondly, yeah... home suturing is something I would generally advise someone against, I didn't doubt for a second that you know what you're doing, but I am glad you highlighted the fact that you have the experience necessary to make the call. I shudder to think of the insta dims that might go "hey! Suturing is safe and easy, all I need is a stapler..."
Sadist + Masochist + Romance, life doesn't get any better than that.
Congrats RS and samdarella, best wishes for many more years to come.
I have to wonder if this accident would have happened if you hadn't been indulging in bubbly to celebrate. But I hold a rather intolerant viewpoint towards playing under the influence. If we wouldn't drive, we don't play.
My only accident came from being tied with my arms behind me to a beam overhead. He decided then to remove my panties and I fell off my high heels and wrenched my arm. It took months to fully recover. These days I don't get tied in heels.
It's funny, I was reading samdarells's Life is good thread in Positive Experiences. She posted it 1 year from the day we met . . . and I had joked about that stapler so much, even she joked about it in her post.
And tonight we will drink to the upcoming year of all that we will become. And then we will come home and He will probably tie me up and beat my ass and stick needles in me and maybe cut me. Yep after we've been drinking. Don't worry though because we have a surgical stapler. SSC, nope that's not us.............
MariaB -> RE: -=I stabbed her on our anniversary ... don't worry, I stapled her back together=- (9/23/2014 9:20:48 AM)
Nice work RS.
Staple guns are good fun but not normally used on cut skin... you went one better and it looks like you did a neat job. Samdarella, how did it feel compared to having staples done over uncut flesh?
Being sailors who sometimes find ourselves out in the big blue thousands of miles from anyone, a good medical kit including staple guns is an absolute must.
It's threads like this that is the reason I love this group and these boards.
So I stabbed her, accidentally... on our anniversary.
Sep 18th was our 2nd collaring anniversary and our 1st wedding anniversary. I married her one year to the day after collaring her. We gave each other flowers and cards. She gave me an engraved wallet/money clip that says. "Master 9/18/12". It says Master instead of husband because for us, the marriage is an extension of the M/s collaring, not the other way around. The marriage certificate is more like a property receipt.
We had a wonderful day, a home cooked meal and toasted our good life with a bottle of bubbly. Then for desert I decided to stay home and torture her until her masochistic little heart was overflowing. I even let her pick out some of her fav gear.
I love knives and blood sport cutting... so does she. So I "invited her to get on the cross at knife point". I had the knife at her throat and turned her around to face the cross. My cross has mouse hole shaped cut outs for foot rests so you can face the cross comfortably. They are elevated a few inches off the floor. I was reaching down to prod her up onto the cross by slapping the inside of her calf with the knife blade. Just as I swung the blade to slap her, she anticipated my desire for her to mount the cross and lifted her leg . . . into the oncoming knife.
All these years I have been sadistically saying "don't worry, I have a surgical stapler and can staple you back together" to invoke fear during knife play. Now it finally happened. Whether you are into edge play or not, accidents happen. It's how you deal with them that counts. She was a trooper. She said, "Ouch" as blood was pouring down her leg onto the foot rest.
While working on her leg, she said, "now there is an anniversary story. If anyone asks what you did for our anniversary, I can tell them you stabbed me". As you can see in the pictures below, it was bad enough to need stitches and the scar would have screwed up her tattoo . . . so stapled her back together. She is healing very well. I will take the staples out next weekend and pick up the torture where we left off when she is healed up enough to play rough again.
I normally keep a suture kit, burn cream, pain pills, EMS scissors and all the standard stuff in my first aid box. The stapler is actually part of my medical play gear. What accident preparations do you have? Got an "oops" story to share?
Hotch -> RE: -=I stabbed her on our anniversary ... don't worry, I stapled her back together=- (9/25/2014 9:56:38 PM)
Stab wounds aren't to be taken lightly, the risk of infection is pretty high. Hopefully her tat won't be too worse for wear... Looks like a neat clousure!
You two are perfect together.
Too scary for me, but a love story for sure!
This was a good thread. I'll sacrifice a bit of flesh for a fun thread. Next time we will have sutures though.
Yes Master is quite the romantic. Even more than He is sick and twisted. Lucky me I get it all wrapped up in One sexy beast. His love note covered our relationship well. I am all of those things to Him. And He reminds me often that He appreciates me.
We both have a medical background. I am also a germaphobe. So there's no worries that the cut wasn't cleaned well. First it was cleaned well by naturally by bleeding a bunch. Washes the germs right out of there. We don't recommend that others staple or suture cuts themselves. Actually I don't recommend anyone that has not been trained or mentored to do a lot of the things we do. Master has been living bdsm for Abt 40 yrs now. I have only been practicing for 4 yrs this month. Yep I'm practicing, don't have it quite right yet. (subtle hint. I know Master wants me to be the best i can be). During those 4 years I haven't played with anyone that wasn't very experienced, so i learned a lot and have been able to experience some fairly edgy stuff. Slap and tickle don't tickle my fancy. Master has been there done that quite a few times over. Slap and tickle doesnt feed His beast. So I risk damage almost every time Master and i play. It's minimal risk bc He is very experienced and doesn't want to break His toy. But accidents do happen. And I wind up bleeding. Well actually I wind up bleeding often and it's no accident. He meant to do that. Speaking of romantic, I have a few tshirts saved that He was wearing when He made me bleed and in our passion we wound up with blood all over the shirt. Yes that is my idea of romantic. When Master hurts me and makes me bleed. As we look into each others eyes and I can barely see through the tears. But I can feel the love. I understand that somewhere I have a few wires crossed. That's why we make a great couple. Master is one of the few I've met that is actually more twisted than I am.
To answer another question someone asked, it only hurt a little bit getting stapled over cut skin. I don't think staples into intact skins hurts at all. Which is why we still had staples. Keep in mind though that my idea of pain is not the norm. And even if it had hurt enough to make me cry (not even close) it would have been worth it to skip the ER. That's torture to me.
ResidentSadist -> RE: -=I stabbed her on our anniversary ... don't worry, I stapled her back together=- (9/30/2014 9:08:42 AM)
She is all healed up so I pulled the staples over the weekend. I used a surgical staple remover. Surgical staples are sort of M shaped. When they are inserted, the bridge in the M is straightened out so the sides fold in and under to grip. The remover bends the V back into bridge and releases the grip by straightening up the side again. Here are pics as promised.
