You know when you start a project and that begets another project? So - I cleaned out my closet, really needed to go through my clothes, donated some, rewashed some, threw some away, reorganized, etc. It felt great to get this done (and I have a tendency to procrastinate on such things).

So this started about 3 loads of wash that needed to get done. Vacuuming everything and dusting all the shelves. This also included a lot of things that needed to be washed on delicate cycles and needed to be hung dry. I had to iron several pieces too. Most can be hung dry and they're fine several pieces needed to be pressed.

Then I saw how dingy my curtains were. I took them down to be washed.

I started looking at the wallpaper. The wallpaper I have absolutely hated since the day I moved in and I swore it would be out in a few weeks. But you know what happens when you move, there are way too many things that have to get done before you can take time for things that didn't need to get done immediately. So a few months turned into several years.

Today I did it. I started peeling the wallpaper. OMG I have another very major project on my hands now. This is going to take at least a couple of days and will involve moving two dressers and a bed out of the way to get to it. Then I am going to paint (or wallpaper again, haven't decided).

This carpeting looks kind of worn now that I'm looking at it......

Maybe I should just move.

If you move, that will beget another project in packing up all your things.

Then you'll want to make your place presentable, so you can either sell it or avoid a fine from your landlord. So more projects.

You just can't win.

OMG....I do this.....I sit and look at a project that I really need to do and I procrastinate about it forever. Then when I finally do get myself to do it, things just snowball and I start looking at everything else that needs to be done. Yhe laundry progressing to curtains is a perfect example....I've done that a few times.

But personally....I vote for doing what my sister and BIL do.....they live in a house for a few years and when it comes time that it needs to be painted....they move. I think they've moved 7 times in the last 25 years.....

Oh...you should see my WIPs of crocheted items...2 baby afghans and a mosiac octagon throw.
