Not one bit of prescriptive shit in there by the way. Fuck the fucking the middle class is his talking point, make the richer rich and support the military-industrial complex. How is that new? How is that going to work because he slobbers it, because it has not worked in the entire history of the world, and certainly has caused the destruction of America.

Those aren't ideas quack. That's just regurgitated ultra right wing talking points. It's doubtful the book or editorial ios actually by Carson BTW neither is in his style. Not that having a ghost writer write them is a bad thing he is prone to spectacular agfffes when he speaks and writes by himself.

Most Malthusians are leftists. Hunger, environmental disasters and the like.

There are leftists who are indeed very prescriptive. For example, Bill Ayers is in favor of domestic terrorism. That's certainly prescriptive, apparently enough to get you a professorship instead of a lifetime jail term (for his actions and his incitements).

Bush was a profligate spender, certainly no conservative in that regard. He was more a neo-con than a true conservative on defense.

I wouldn't call Mao a conservative except in the most doctrinaire aesthetic sense in that he wished to "conserve" art as it was before art existed, except for propaganda purposes.

Mao was clearly a Communist, with complete command and control. He was not a fascist, because he owned rather than regulated.

It is also fair to say he had some populist tendencies, aiming to play to the masses whilst destroying them.

The president is "commander in chief" and should return the salute... even if he has no clue how a salute is given in the military

As to Bush being a redneck cowboy... never in a million years. His heritage is from Connecticut and the Texas ties are only carpetbagging via investing in oil companies. Flying the lone star is either wishful thinking for a vote play for a Bush.

I am still undecided if it is purposeful deception to sway a gullible public, just pain stupidity, or unreasonable faithfulness to a political ideology that blinds them to reality.

No matter what you think of Jon Stewart you should admit he has a way of cutting through the bullshit to show the very tragic dysfunction of our government in a funny way. I would much rather laugh than cry God bless him.
