AshCrimson -> AshCrimson's Personal Lyrics Book #1 (9/29/2014 4:26:59 PM)

Most of what I write is in a metal/black metal fashion. Some written in power metal/symphonic metal. Basically I write metal. I will list a band to basically give the feel of the song. The first entry I would like to share is called "Rivers ov Babylon". I wrote the song in high school in the year 2009. I do hope you enjoy.

Artist to associate with: Behemoth

Rivers ov Babylon (the word "of" is supposed to be "ov" on purpose)

As I pass through the gates
Ov this city-state
All I will annihilate
Within these walls so great

At the pavillion
Where lay the millions
Flowing to beyond
The Rivers ov Babylon

From the waters that cured
Now flows the blood unpure
The stench ov decay
Never to be escaped

Flames ov hate
Go into these walls so great
decimate, eradicate
This once proud city-state

-End-

This is my first real work. I feel I could always improve it but I have always enjoyed the simplicity I kept within it. More works to come.

I am not really into metal, but the title captivated my curiosity. I am also not opposed to metal. My exposure to it is just very limited to get the point of reference. In spite of all these limitations I believe your lyrical expression is awesome in this piece. It flowed nicely even without accompanying music.
