That's amazing but this lovely little bit -
"The womb would then be left in place until she has completed her family, then removed, so she could stop taking drugs to prevent her body rejecting the organ. The drugs carry an increased risk of cancer.
The operation, follow-up and immunosuppressant drugs are estimated to have cost $180,000."

really really worries me. Immunosuppressant drugs during pregnancy? No thanks. Swallow your pride and just hire a good surrogate. Don't put your child at that much risk.

Do you think the doctors just blindly give out any old drugs without checking on the safety and side effect factor? Some drugs cross the placenta, others don't.
