I signed up for the site because I was lurking and saw a question on BitCoin that was unanswered and thought I'd take a stab at it.
I'm not here looking for much of anything although I would be thrilled to meet other people who are studying blockchain technology
or are interested in learning about it.
I like to imagine the sorts of organizations that could come out of the technology.
For example with the ability to build contracts on top of a blockchain being developed I wonder if there will be people grouping up to use
the bockchain for things like decentralized domination and submission.

Woohoo! A Geeky Dom, that's great. bitcoin has been having a stroke of luck lately with Paypal now recognizing it as a form of legitimate payment. I'm sure you're aware of its limits and recent uncertainties earlier this year, but I'm fascinated to see if it will indeed prove naysayers wrong and live up to the hype, welcome!
Blockchain doesn't have as many options as Coinbase but it is quintessential for those who cherish their online privacy. There are pros and cons on both sides for varying reasons in my opinion but I don't think bitcoin is going anywhere anytime soon unless something major happens.

The money side of it is cool but I can't wait until people can have decentralized organizations
like the folks working on Ethereum are developing the ability to implement next year.
I don't think I personally will do it but I imagine at some point people will create BDSM oriented
groups on a blockchain and use it for any enforcement that is agreed upon.
I should note that when I said blockchain I was referring to the core that holds the information,
I think you may have been referring to blockchain.info which is a website that views the core of
Bitcoin and provides wallet services. That being said I agree that it's better that people who
hold and/or use bitcoin learn how to secure their wallet as opposed to letting a bank like coinbase
hold it.
Thank you for the warm welcome GoddessManko.
