L8bloomer -> Favourite Phone App (10/8/2014 1:10:48 AM)

So...I'm waiting for my pants to dry before going to bed and thought I'd waste some time here. ;)

Today my fave phone app is Shazam. It's got far too many ads (there is probably an ad-free one for $$$) but it has only been unable to find one song so far, so I consider that a pretty decent record. :)

What would you say is your fave phone app and why? (One that wasn't part of the "bundled" features that is.)

You know how every likes to pop bubble wrap? My ex-bf used to have an app where an image of a piece of bubble wrap would come up on the screen and you could pop all the bubble with your finger around the screen. Totally useless and annoying to anyone around you who had to listen to the noise....but still fun in a weird way.

Other than that....the only app I've put on my phone that it didn't alreay come with was a kindle reader. Yeah....I'm boring that way.....

My phone doesn't have any Apps so I don't have a fave.

Right now, I am loving tinder. Lots of good looking local vanilla guys and gals you connect with via facebook login to do random fun things with. If I mainly dated vanilla it would be an awesome and fast way to meet someone in close proximity. I told everyone on my profile to prepare to be friendzoned and they are completely down for that. Only down side is majority of guys are guaranteed to be a couple years younger than me but overall very sweet, normal and got their shit together (even home ownership) so I would recommend to anyone trying to get out of the house and do stuff.
One guy even told me "I'm just trying to hook up" and I respected that. A kinky tinder is a great idea, I saw someone mention it on the forum somewhere.

Sounds interesting, but I don't use Facebook, so it wouldn't help me. :\

The Kindle reader sounds cool. Don't you find it small though?

The bubble wrap? Uhm...no comment. *grins* But thanks for sharing! :)

Technology and I are not the best of friends. Quite frankly, I am not one of these people that spends my day with my nose pressed against the screen of my smart phone.

Years ago, there were a couple of "games", making their way around the interwebz. My favorites were "Frog In a Blender" and "Fishing" by Joe Cartoon. They're no longer available for download but Joe has them available and playable (in video form?) on his website. Sadists will enjoy both games.

Screen captures (and pissing on shadows) still RULE! Ya feel me?

The kindle reader isn't too bad....you can adjust the text size. But it is annoying to have only 5 words on the screen at any time LOL. I still prefer my kindle paperwhite to the phone, but sometimes the phone is nice if I find myself having to wait for someone or something.

That's what I mean! I couldn't read it. I have a Kobo myself with Pearl E-Ink. The only reason I didn't get a tablet type with colour is that I'd read the Pearl E-Ink was as close to printed books as you can get. At least that was true at the time I bought it. Kindle got it after Kobo, I think. But...the Kobo was better than the Kindle at the time.

But generally speaking, I prefer a real bona fide book. But I bought the Kobo because I need more portability. I have boxes of books in my spare room. I don't know what I'm going to do with them when I move. I want to bring them all with me! I haven't even read half of 'em! (Books are kind of like my crack cocaine, I guess you could say. ;)
