Seriously, what do you do to relax?

I for one, play video games, code; jog, run, or walk; and play an instrument to calm down and think about something that I can really enjoy. Not work, not anything that's stressful, just playing and having fun.

What are some pointers to relaxing with someone or when you're alone?

I write music, play my bass, load up a first person shooter video game and shoot shit, listen to Gregorian Chant, cook, walk, go fishing, watch a movie...

Pointers?

The best pointer is to have fun doing whatever it is you are doing. The other one is to allow yourself to relax... which is not as easy as it may sound.

@mnottertail I meander, I am playing destiny more on the PS4, but I play older games on my SNES, NES, and Retron5. I also play games such as Kerbal Space Program, The Elder Scrolls series, Prison Architect, and flash games such as Fenoxos CoC and TiTs!

@Guage Gregorian Chant, I'll have to look around the net to listen to that, it sounds interesting!

Good pointer by the way, though allowing yourself to relax... yeah, as you said.

I've never played the online side of the series. I have enjoyed the Modern Warfare 1,2,3 single player though. Truly, I am a devoted Fallout 3 and New Vegas fanatic. I must have over 400 hours clocked on both of those.

I usually stay away from online shooters due to a lot of people using aim-bots and exploits, my anxiety doesn't help things much either in a PVP environment.

I forgot to mention Minecraft. Love Minecraft.

A good cigar in the sun with a book. It's getting cold, and I will miss doing that.

I really haven't had a whole lot of time for relaxing, lately. I used to come home in the late afternoon, pour myself some Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi© in my 32 oz. Abalama Football cup (Roll, Tide, Roll!) and sit in my Adirondack chair on my front porch. I'd wait for the trouble-an'-strife to get home and we'd talk about the day or play the guitars, together (She's been playing about six months and I've got her playing "Home Bound" by Ted Nugent, already).

Since I've gone back to school, I don't have time for all of that so, my "relaxation" time usually comes with the caveat of knowing that I'll be going back into the home office to do some work, in a little bit.

On those rare occasions when I don't have a mountain of work to do, I go back to the porch. As the weather gets colder, we'll start just hanging about inside and waiting for Spring.

Runescape or Club Pogo for gaming, crocheting, reading, online window shopping (I got funds build up on Fingerhut because I pay triple the payments), chatting with my daughter.

Sit on the porch, drink beer, and listen to the critters rustling around in the yard. Once in a while, I get a group of deer stopping by to eat my neighbor's shrubs. When it gets too cold for that, I sit here on the computer, write stories no one will ever read, come here or the other sites similar, and call it good.

I read, work on a quilt or blanket, watch sports lol, or just listen to some music and contemplate the day.
