ORIGINAL: Sanity FR More class warfare / Marxist rhetoric Still popular where the politicians turn prosperity into slum Can I ask you, what is wrong with class warfare? Isn't it in the spirit of capitalism to compete for your interests? He means that in the old days, when the lower classes simply stayed in their place, that was "no class warfare." That they want to enjoy the freedoms afforded them, that's class warfare, and unacceptable. God--what if they vote???!!! Of course, I seriously doubt he's in the upper classes, given his poor understanding of economy and business, but the right has successfully brainwashed their parrots, by getting them worked up over this or that social "problem" over the years, that they now repeat whatever is fed them, even when it's against their own best interests. The masters release the talking points; the parrots go to work repeating them, regardless of applicability or relevance, beginning by closing their ears to any and all other points, reason, and argument. After all -- they're fighting a "war"!
