hi everyone .. I wanted to start a topic about my jerney from old Damascus to the Netherlands .. took me 3 months but would you like to know about the hard times I went throw?
now I can freely say it because they are not going to put me back in jail .. well Syrian jail ..
I can say this now in the street .. without looking over my shoulder for a sniper

the thing is though I don't know if you guys would really like to read this kind of stuff (the stuff you read in a Russian book)
all just misery & suffering .. I was hoping that I can make it into a book.. but I don't know if anyone would read that book? you know?

Welcome back!

If it helps, I'm not without skill in the writing department and I would be willing to ghost a book for you. I can write but I am not very good at "creating" stories from whole cloth. I can, craft a story, told to me by someone else.

It would take hours of talking/interviewing but I'll bet we could get it done.

[reflective mode] Ya know, sometime after watching the evening news and all the shit going on in the world (wars, terrorism, ebola) I look out the window at my peaceful (relatively speaking) town and think how lucky I was to be born here.

[serious mode] As for writing book . . . Hell ya, you should! Triumph over adversity is always a good sell and even if it doesn't at least you got it down on paper. [philosophical mode] Evil always suffers a setback when truth is recorded for posterity.

[sarcastic mode] If you're really lucky maybe Hollywood will want to make a movie out of it. Of course, for marketing purposes there will have to be a few changes made - some large explosions, a car chase scene or two (if you don't already have those) some gratuitous nudity and of course that ending will never do - I mean, the Netherlands? Seriously? No, we will change things to have you come to the USA. Perhaps a final scene where you'll be on the deck of a boat, weeping with joy as you approach the Statue of liberty. So I guess the only question remaining is: who do you wan't to portray you in the movie.

Many of us followed your trials in Syria and the life you had there.
There was a long period of silence when most of us didn't have a clue how things were going for you.
Some of us even prayed that you were still alive!!

And here you are.... alive and well!!
