ORIGINAL: kowtowed i cant see a post here where all the frauds, embezzlers, fakes and phonies can be listed -isn't it high time this site got cleaned up? so annoying to have to trawl through all the garbage -wanting payment, 'contracts' 'tributes' or trying to con you to join some stupid sites. No longer a bdsm site really - just a drop off spot for various kinds of embezzlers looking for suckers In my time here, I have created a couple of lists of profiles with obviously stolen pictures that could be google'd or containing otherwise fraudulent content that screamed criminal intent. The result was that the thread was deleted, some mod emailed me with a warning, while scammers and thieves maintained their profiles for months and years afterwards. Perhaps to this day, I don't know, I typically block them right away with the exception of rare experimental cases. Desperate souls around here will tell you that you are simply annoyed at not getting enough attention, which is their roundabout way of sycophant butt-licking of the powers that be. Yes, there is a big problem here with criminals plying their craft in broad daylight. An honest, clear headed person would be hard-pressed not to cringe. It is really up to individual users to remove the scum though because the dynamic of the site promotes it for a few different reasons. Mods want ad clicks, women want money, and men hope to get with women by pretending they don't notice extortion plots. Your opinion is of course important, but that doesn't make it a fact. Moderators do not care about ad clicks. That is the least of our concerns. Part of my concern is, that if members are seeing something that they believe is criminal, they need to do what they agreed to do when they created their profile and agreed to terms of service and that is to report it to staff. Staff then must look at the variables in the situation and evaluate what is best to do with the situation. We do not announce what we do and it is a big job keeping up with it, but because you can find it, doesn't mean that we condone it, want it or won't do anything about it. This is nothing new to any site and it is a constant battle, but we are persistently working at it. That is our responsibility just as it is every adult's responsibility, to know what is out there, to do what we can about it and be wise net surfers. This would not include the creation of lists blacklisting members. That must be left to those that are trained to handle site business. When you have seen some of the lists and reasons that people put members on that list, you can see why it is problematic. Personal issues between members is not against TOS and not a reason to put someone on a list of any sort that they wish to share with other members and won't be allowed.
