I had an occasion this weekend to watch mixed-sex erotic dancers, and, while I was taking note of the stellar differences, I became engaged with the fact the women, almost universally (if not universally) slapped their own asses, while the men didn't at all. Any idea for the root of this heterogeneous behavior?

And because they're drawing attention to an area that most of the men watching were interested in...And demonstrating something that they're well aware what most of the men would like to do. Most, if not all, of the male dancers are well aware that most of the women there watching are more interested in other aspects of the male dancers' bodies. Additionally, I think...in a mostly vanilla setting...women spanking their ass is seen as saucy, sexy and flirtatious. Male dancers doing the same is just as likely to be seen as "sissy" as sexy.

sexuality plays a role too also more % of people have heterogeneous behavior. What part of women is played with in sexual situation and what part of men. Do in a general strait relationship a mens ass gets used in sex ? More like no.

Because men and women traditionally value different things in the opposite gender. Men are not objectified and judged on sexual criteria alone. Women are judged on superficial qualities such as childbearing hips, clear skin, youthfulness, long legs, poses and angles that emphasis sexuality. Men on the other hand are judged on poses that reflect strength and defiance. Men are judged by signifiers of social status such as a well-tailored suit or a uniform that communicates what the man can do or can get. whereas a woman is judged by her body. Women are more likely to judge a man by the quality of his shoes than the reverse. source: worked two weeks at a strip club in college.
