smileforme50 -> Let's all take a bath! (11/11/2014 9:42:17 PM)

When I was growing up, men took showers and women took baths. I never heard any grown men say that all they want is to go soak in a hot tub. There were all kinds of products out....oils, salts and bubbles of all kinds in nice feminine scents. I never saw a commercial with a man saying "Calgon....take me away!!!!"

But in recent years, I've talked to more and more men who enjoy taking a bath on a regular basis.....especially Dominant men. I'm not as shocked at this as I used to be, but it does still sometimes catch me off guard So I wanted to know if the enjoyment of a hot bath is balanced between the genders....and does that balance change between Dominants and submissives?

I inherited my house when my mother died. She renovated the bathroom many years ago and told me after the fact. She told me to go upstairs and check out the new bathroom. She tore the bathtub out and put in a shower stall. I went downstairs, told her I hated it. We never talked about it again.

I wish this place still had a bathtub. Soaking in a tub is good for the muscles in my back... showering is like a bad tease.

Plus, in a shower, I cannot play with a rubber duckie.

I don't take time out for myself to soak in the tub, so I end up taking showers. There isn't really room enough in the tub to have sex, but it's doable in the shower. [;)]
I love hot tubs and we had designed a section of our sundeck to install one years ago. Damn, I need to add to that to my Bucket List.

Oh yeah!! The one thing I LOVE to do in the shower is get on my knees and give oral. There's is just something extra erotic about kneeling on the wet floor with all the water pouring all over me that just makes it even a bigger turn on.

I don't like baths, I find showers with the water beating down on me more relaxing and stress releasing than a bath.

I can't vote for him but he likes long showers.

The last time I had a bath, I was dressed in latex from head to toe....so was my pet....it was a few years ago
Im definitely a shower lady, for everything :)
There was this one time.... nah never mind...baths are less fun in my book for intimate moments:)

I love baths but rarely take one.

Taking baths are not practical in my OCD germaphobe mind because it feels like you are lying in your own dead skin cells.

Trying to stay open to the notion of the therapeutic implications of a bath, I guess I would give it a nod in the affirmative if I started with an exfoliating shower first; then scrub clean then scrub clean the tub; then prepare the bath water; and then ease my way into such an off putting temperature increase until I adjusted as such. That adds up to a whole spa day regimen that would be reserved for special occasions only.

Add in some Epsom salt and lavender essential oil for some aroma therapy and soothing relaxation with some smooth jazz playing in the background, and it may be worth the wait. Alas, my service mind would not allow me to enjoy such indulgences, but I would be inclined to give such pampering to others. I am selfiishly motivated in the gift of giving and getting a receipt of content for the benefit of others.

Good morning. Time for your bath. ;) Well, maybe more like Boris Koloff's "good evening" and all the enchanting appeal that may conjure in your mind, because I am not in any way social in the morning in person. LOL. ENJOY!

I hate baths.
I'll only take one if I need to soak in espom salt cause my back hurts.

Once again my introverted germaphobe self has another dilemma. This notion of a group hot tub experience. Yikes! I am curling in fear at the thought of an exponentially lethal dose of increased and shared dead skin cells. I cringe at the thought of this human cesspool of toxicity.

As a child, I never wanted to get into another public pool once I discovered that people urinated in the pool. Oh my. Adding to this fear, I also almost drowned from being thrown into the pool in some harmless joshing fun for the first time swimming novice. Thanks guys! LOL. Add to this even further, the sight of unsightly gnarly feet, and my hot tub interests were doomed from the start.

I usually over think things to the point of procrastination. That's not good. My friends have pointed out this flaw. "Okay, okay! I will try. Can you drown in a hot ub though? Okay! A public bath outing you say? Will everyone be wearing socks?" To top it all off, I had a foot fetish to boot -there's a contradiction! I say "had"in past tense, because I talked myself down from that rope too.

Please excuse my excursion into the irrelevant that is caused by over thinking things, like baths; it's suppose to be fun self indulgence. I've managed to turn it into sheer horror. ^sigh^

Showers, for the sheer practicality. With my back, getting in and out of the tub is a risky chore, compounded by the fact my tub is hobbit-sized for some reason.
