MistressKale -> Good D/s fiction? (11/16/2014 11:20:47 AM)

Hello, Forum.

I'm an avid reader, and I am looking for more fiction titles to read. Of course, I have read the Story of O. There seem to be a fair amount of good non-fiction titles to read, but everything else seems like poorly-written junk flying around on the coat tails of 50 Shades. Shudder. Some writing samples I feel have soiled my kindle app permanently. I prefer FemDom (of course) but any submission type is fine.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

One of our posters, NookieNotes, has written:

She Makes the Rules
She's In Control
Slave To Her Whim
7 Severe Punishments
Because I Said So
Coming Soon: In Through the Out Door (Anal Play)

Cleis Press has published a series of anthologies of femdom short fiction:

Please. Ma'am
Yes, Ma'am
She's on Top

While some of the stories appeal to me more than others, overall I'd say they're good anthologies with well-chosen selections.

After reading it, I thought Abigail Barnette's The Boss series should have been what 50 Shades wasn't.

Not into femdom fiction but I was amazed to find a not-so-subtle femdom character in a fantasy novel (first book in a series of 12) called "Sword of Truth" (or something like that). It had a chapter where a not-so-subtle femdom character took a male alpha-type (the main character) as a prisoner and broke him mentally and physically with sadism. There were actually a couple of chapters featuring them together but just one that was explicit.

Have to warn you though I thought the novel was sub-par as a book; I did not continue the series since I found the story itself poorly written. There was a TV series based on the books which were even worse but did feature the kinky character from what I remember.
