DomKen -> So the anti choice movement is just about abortion, really? (11/18/2014 5:40:27 AM)

Then explain these people:
http://www.slate.com/blogs/xx_factor/2014/11/17/cosmo_talks_to_abortion_clinic_sidewalk_counselors_gets_an_earful_about.html

Looks to me that if they win they will take away all contraception.

That's a good question, Ken. I've wondered something similar. If wanting to be a math major isn't about being an asshole, how do we explain people like you?

K.

Tkman117 -> RE: So the anti choice movement is just about abortion, really? (11/18/2014 8:11:09 AM)

lol, can't help but make a comment, but instead of actually addressing the issue you go for a personal attack. Now that's simply pathetic

Lucylastic -> RE: So the anti choice movement is just about abortion, really? (11/18/2014 8:49:32 AM)

par for the course....sadly

I would say that it looks more like they would prefer chastity belts.

Not much of a surprise. Americans really are prudes when it comes to sex.

Oh, I addressed the issue. You're just not too bright.

Hey, back off now.

Just because I insist on wearing a shirt and tie when I'm whapping her butt or she's shoving my face between her legs doesn't mean I'm a prude.

But then again, there is that watching of TCM during oral sex thing. Hmmm ...

He's an idiot troll who exists to defend the indefensible. The longer we keep him around the longer he keeps thinking he's scoring points while making his side look just as awful as it really is.

The hilarious thing is, even posting this in public won't make him realize this fact.

what's really hilarious, is DK finding an article where they found a SMALL group who are obviously religious, and then implying they represent all pro life people

personally I am not anti abortion, and for purely selfish reasons, just so we are clear

I personally agree with a lot of what pro-life people say and found this article to be quite interesting

http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/280535/pro-life-aristotle-interview

nothing in it is based on religion BTW

mnottertail -> RE: So the anti choice movement is just about abortion, really? (11/18/2014 1:12:48 PM)

Loyola and National Review are heavily Catholic organizations, even if the dont say the Blessed Virgin and all the saints, thats where the argument is based.

Except for the fact that he is a professor at a Catholic university.

But other than that ...

Calling this guy "Aristotle" is almost as funny as calling Jerry Fallwell "Socrates."

did you read it? I didn't see ANYTHING based on religion in there...

I especially liked the parallel where Native Americans & blacks were at one time not considered HUMAN BEINGS either

religion or references to religion aren't mentioned even ONCE, and some pro abortion people gave it a favorable review

your argument is like like saying a professor at a predominantly black college can only write a book from a black racist prospective, poor argument at best

I was raised catholic, but I am not anti abortion, nor am I any longer active in any religion, but I can see VERY VALID POINTS in what this man says

so what? are you saying he CAN NOT have an objective opinion because of that?

I am 100% sure there are many Catholics who are pro-abortion

makes me wonder where you stand on the statement all Isamics are terrorists?

might wanna try reading the article there, no one called him Aristotle, its because of something Aristotle said that he agrees with

Lucylastic -> RE: So the anti choice movement is just about abortion, really? (11/18/2014 1:39:52 PM)

There are millions of people who think a woman is a slut, should close her legs, never have sex, get sterile, and are anti contraception. Have you missed how much abortion and contraception has been in the news for the past 6 years? How many bills? how many laws?
Get a clue BY.

mnottertail -> RE: So the anti choice movement is just about abortion, really? (11/18/2014 1:47:52 PM)

I have read the fucking thing, and excerpts from his book, first you have to buy his implied 'moral' defintion as it would relate to religion, not the necessary and sufficient conditions to describe 'moral'.

Its a religious argment.

how many times do I have to say I am NOT ANTI ABORTION

GET A CLUE LUCY

but it doesn't mean I am so closed minded about it I can't see other points of view regarding it

and if I remember right lucy you used that EXACT SAME ARGUMENT on me "if a man doesn't want to pay for a child he should keep his dick in his pants!"

I seeee, soo protecting what some feel is an innocent human life is NOT A MORAL ISSUE???

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOKKKK

you don't have to be religious to know its IMMORAL to kill a baby

I didn't say you have to agree, but no matter HOW you slice it, it IS A MORAL ISSUE

its just as MORAL as deciding at some point native American's and blacks ARE HUMAN TOO and shouldn't be killed...

once AGAIN I point out I am pro abortion, with one lil differance, even though, I'll ADMIT I know its wrong to KILL a baby, but still want it done for PURELY SELFISH REASONS

mnottertail -> RE: So the anti choice movement is just about abortion, really? (11/18/2014 2:09:03 PM)

Its a moral issue to you perhaps, but not to many who know that life does not begin at inception. But your boy danced around that one, eliding into a 25 week or better argument.
