cloudboy -> GO-Bama (Go Obama!) (11/21/2014 10:52:32 AM)

The USA is one of the only expanding economies in the world right now, and immigration reforms should help accelerate our economic growth. FANTASTIC INDEED.

More jobs, more investment, ambitious workers = a boost to the USA. Here's a toast to more consumer demand for housing, goods and services, etc.

I thought this was about immigrants that were already here. So how is this going to increase the demand for housing unless you are under the impression they are all homeless right now? Same for goods and service. And how is adding more people to the work force going to increase jobs? Increase competition but that's really not a good thing is it? At least not for the ones who will be in direct competition with them. But as long as the D's think it's good and it doesn't directly effect you then it's all good up there in the clouds. Raise a toast and pass the bong.

The left blames everything else on the "do nothing" congress

Why not this

cloudboy -> RE: GO-Bama (Go Obama!) (11/21/2014 6:01:02 PM)

Let's keep it going and add to it.

Marini -> RE: GO-Bama (Go Obama!) (11/21/2014 7:45:34 PM)

Compared to Europe and Japan -- we are doing well. Increased demand and motivated workers can't help but HELP!

Sweetie, America has had a duel economy for some time now.
Newsflash: The rich are getting richer, and the majority of people are getting kicked in the ass.

CNN Money/Nov. 2014/America's Dual Economy

1. Wages are NOT growing.
2. MILLIONS of people can NOT find full time jobs.
3. Inequality is growing.

I enjoy your hopeful demeanor, and I think you mean well but.....
Do you get out and about much?
Seriously

Could be the "free" government health care costs (and other socialist pie-in-the-sky programs) are crushing these other places

Musicmystery -> RE: GO-Bama (Go Obama!) (11/22/2014 11:24:30 AM)

Interesting that they weren't "crushing these other places" for decades until the advent of "trickle down economics," exactly when the dual economy started.

Just your way of saying "nutsuckers nutsuckers nutsuckers nutsuckers "

Additionally, I thank the Miami Phish for not knowing what they had and for sucking as badly as they did for two years.

Thats right

You are two peas in a pod

Musicmystery -> RE: GO-Bama (Go Obama!) (11/22/2014 11:42:27 AM)

I'm a little old for the playground "Nuh-uh, you are!"

The data show clearly that the inequality and the two economies date to trickle-down, not government programs per se, as for decades, those programs existed without the gap.

Wanna address that with some sort of evidence, grand.

Want to go piss on the playground, I pass.

[sm=agree.gif]
THAT'S IT!!
This started at least 30 years ago {Reagan Era}, and has become progressively worse.
It started full throttle under Reagan, and has just snow balled over the last 30 years.

Hell, I am old enough to remember a lot of the union busting and Reagan's all out war on labor.
You can't cover up what many of us are old enough to remember.
Ronald Reagan had a lot to do with spear heading/accelerating the economic decline in our country.
To not admit that MANY of the issues facing this country, did not begin/or were not accelerated
during the Reagan administration is being ignorant or disingenuous at best.

Now we have plenty of that on here!
lol
