Hello people. As you know, if you're a new sub on this site, you get bombarded with messages. The only way I've found to sort out whom I've already talked to and ruled out is to add them to the blocked list after. Anyone know of a better way.... One that doesn't hurt feelings? Lol Thanks

No. That is the best way otherwise they get upset and lash out.

Nothing wrong with that method, I use it as well. I'm slightly more conservative with the block button though, and use it for repeat offenders. But if you use it to avoid repeats, more power to you. You're not going to hurt feelings because they're not going to notice 99.999% of the time. They're sending those messages to every new sub and won't notice if you bite or not. Half of them will message you a month or so later with the same message not noticing they've talked to you before. So you're not going to be missed. So yeah, no feelings hurt. But if they did get butthurt, should you really care?

Below the profile are two panes for text. The upper one is to send messages, and the lower one is for notes. Make a note saying "Ruled out 11/22/14.

i like to make a note to myself as to WHY i ruled them out, as well…just in case they've "cleaned up" their profile or otherwise changed it the next time they message me.

Lol Thanks As a person who suffers from a crap memory, the idea of writing yourself a little note is a good one but, I have to warn you off of the "Block" feature without making that little note to yourself. Here's why: If you block someone and *don't* make a note as to why, you might accidentally write to someone whom you've blocked (people do change and they do re-word their profiles to better explain themselves). They won't be able to respond. That's all well and good but, you will be the "idiot" (No personal attack intended. Please notice the quotation marks) because you'll be seen to be "teasing" or "inciting" them. "Block" only keeps them from contacting you. It doesn't prevent you from contacting them nor does it hide them from your search. There's a "Hide User" button for that. Screen captures (and pissing on shadows) *still* RULE! Ya feel me?
