I know it must seem a little silly and naïve to some Americans that a bunch of Brits are marching to try and prevent knife crime, but we don't have tens of thousands of people dying each and every year from gun crime, so we do what we can to make our country safer.

I read kirata's link and thought maybe, just maybe some kid might see that march, and see some people from his community that he knows and respects, and think to himself that the sword, or machete or whatever that he has stashed under his bed would be better off in a police bin than being used to kill or maim someone that has pissed him off.

Maybe that would mean one kid not dead, and one kid not in jail for 10 years?

Is that a win? I think so.
