He's talked of it and has a high interest in trying it, a friend of his sells them in her shop. It's not something I'm all excited about but if he wants to, I'm certainly game for it. I do not like vibrators of any kind, I find any toy that vibrates more annoying and distracting than pleasurable so not sure on the units but, you never know until you try. I'll give "almost" anything a fair shot by trying it a minimum of 3 times before deciding if it's something I like or not.

I struggle with the whole idea of Electro. I used to find images of Electro Torture to be highly erotic and arousing. As more and more Electro porn came onto the net, I have to say that my enthusiasm waned. Let me be honest here. I am yet to find a kinky partner on here and I will be candid and describe myself as as voyeur. If you read a lot of profiles, you will not find many people all that interested in Electro. I think it's fair to say that more men than women like it and the women that do are often anxious and quite frightened of it. It is a strange kink in that it has overtones of torture and oppression and is only really for serious players who live with this deviance. In truth, its hard enough for me to reveal myself as a kinkster at a munch or other gathering. To reveal a passion for electro, I would find very embarrassing.

Just a few things to consider that seem to be overlooked. 1. Size of contact. The smaller the contact area, the sharper the stimulation. Bipolar clamps (perfectly fine above the waist on healthy individuals) feel completely different then self adhesive pads. 2. If you're using monopole contacts (not recommended above the waist but, Ive never heard of an actual problem), the contact with the smaller area will be where the stimulation is felt. 3. When using monopole contacts, you will also stimulate the muscle group(s) between the contacts. 4. Don't remove probes or contacts with the device on, or you'll give you bottom a suprise as the contact surface area decreases (See 1. Above). Its not a pleasant experience.

I'm absolutely terrified of electro-play, not sure why. It just doesn't seem like an erotic kind of pain to me, or one that I would want to endure for anyone. My ex bought a violet wand set and I wouldn't let him touch with me it, couldn't get past the fear, I couldn't even stand it to touch my arm. I have the same kind of response to single tail whips. There's just some stuff I have no wish to try.

Good advice Hotch and not overlooked rather just not asked about but thanks for your contribution. If you read the health and safety notes on E-stim they do explain about use above the waist. They also have live chat where you can ask a question. Like you say, its perfectly fine above the waist providing you make sure the path isn't across the heart. Hand to hand is effectively across the heart and not advised. Yep, the way it feels it is proportional to the size of the contact area. As the contact size gets smaller the stimulation increases. This is exactly the sort of information I would like to see on this post. Thank you

Sweet, I used to be terrified of electro play too. Years working with horses and getting regular bolts from electric fences were enough for me to know that that kind of pain aint nice!. When I was working in club land I was gifted one of the first Electro stim play products on the market. That company were later to become E-stim. The people who gave me this frightening new toy were in the medical market but wanted to discreetly reach out to the kinky community, why they picked me I will never know but even with my fear of electrics, I didn't say no. I cautiously used it on other people, always wary not to zap myself [8\|] The more I used it though, the more curious I became. It seemed this little device with its bundle of accessories could bring anything from extreme pleasure to extreme pain. It wasn't until I met Steve who is an expert when it comes to electrics that I gained the confidence to properly explore what can be done with it and indeed try it on myself. I'm not into pain. I neither like thuddy pain or something that stings; it just annoys me. I do however enjoy the stimulation that E-stim gives me without it ever having to be painful.

And another cat will die :) Electro-stim doesn't have to be painful, the sensation can be quite nice actually, if done correctly. Of course, it can be torturous as well. The wonderful thing about electro-stim is how versatile it is... The same can't really be said for a single tail lol.

This is not to say that I am against socialising with others, but I come from a generation that had trouble treating gay and lesbian people as human beings and I am still haunted by the specter of ridicule and hate.
