Just bought a Rubik's Cube recently. I was feeling nostalgic and and thought that maybe after thirty years I would fare better.

I was wrong. Sigh. I guess I'm going to have to break down at look at some "how to" videos on YouTube.

I'm curious as to how others have dealt with the infernal contraption.

I never tried to solve it so I voted ...... I can't solve it and I'm at peace with that. I bought each of my sons one when they were kids because I knew it would drive them crazy and piss them off. Just a small touch of mom's pay back for driving me crazy.

I did the same thing a couple of years ago. I bought a Rubik's Cube for nostalgia's sake. Then I realized that I must have had a lot of spare time when I was a kid. I did solve it a number of times when I was younger. But now? I just don't care enough to expend the effort. Not when there's Tetris at the ready.

I could solve one pretty quickly when I was younger, but I've completely forgotten now.

Kaliko mentioned Tetris, I've got new levels on Angry Birds.

Voted I can't solve it and I'm pace with that, but it would be more accurate say I can solve it and I regret it. I had to look up the algorithms for the last layer, got by myself up to the central one, so now I can of course solve it but I spoiled my chance to figure out the whole thing by myself. I can do one in less than 4 minutes though, or also under one week if you send me yours by courier and he's willing to wait.

I can get one side and I'm happy with that. After that it becomes a square baseball.

Very close to my golf score, and I don't golf. I did golf a few times but I almost dug myself to China.

I'd like to try the not regular ones, just out of curiosity to see if they are harder or they compensate with less "shuffleable" (I know not a word but couldn't find one)
