A buddy of mine called me today, one of my best pals on Earth, he was in the hospital for 3 days....weird shit, MS type symptoms, other type symptoms....pain unbelievable.

So, I said "Bud, lets go down to one of those new retail stores in Washington State and get you some cookies".

He said...."sounds good".

So we did.

He had 2....I had 1/4 of a cookie!

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!!!

Ladies and germs....I gotta tell ya.....this ain't your Fathers Buick!

Lookie, does your buddy know what was wrong with him? Are there still any tests that have to come back or were inconclusive? Fibromyalgia? although M.S. isn't good by any means, and this sounds like more than catching a seasonal bug.

My father-in-law caught spinal meningitis that went undiagnosed for a spell which caused him all sorts of problems, including delirium. He was working at the Library of Congress at the time, so we suspect that's where it got transmitted somehow.
That was nice of you to be there for your friend and to cheer him up.

Lots more tests for my pal.

We don't live in a land of ticks or bugs so, it'll be some kind of familial shit/DNA related stuff (I did tell him to quit sniffing glue....so he did). He's worth about 15 million so, he's got the best suitors trying to tap into his check book. They'll find it.

In the meantime, he's on LOTS of steroids so, I told him (lovingly) "nice to see you're finally fatter and balder than me!"

If it weren't for that blood clot in his lung, he probably would have laughed harder.
