I'm too old and set in my ways to tolerate bullshit. I'm not particularly a fan of radical honesty, as evidenced by me staying out of p & r. But pretending that people are right when they're actually in denial is not something I can do. And unfortunately, like in the thread that sparked this one, too often that is what a new poster is doing. Wanting to be told that everything they're doing is correct despite the fact that it has never gotten them the results they hope for.
I don't think lying to people helps them learn.
Oh and this thread has just reached 20 pages. A Christmas present for shifty!
