Sonnet #1

In ancient times before this illness took
hold to strangle the women's just senses,
when she supreme lived free of the mans Book,
and led wild men tamed. Before the fences.
Sure, and in control of his poor dumbness,
a one-dimensional pattern of greed,
that corrupts night with violence endless.
Reverse us to that Distant past, our need.

Her playful trysts are not the demons lair,
Not the twisted faults of aberration:
Not to worship women is self-loathing.
See, on the horizon now trots a mare,
Stunning and provocative. She seeks one,
or maybe more, to begin the remembering.

Sonnet #2

The elusive bird evades the nets arc,
and the antelope flies over the plain
away from man and into natures park.
Still, he hunts to own his degraded claim.
A force eternal startled, rising, inveighs.
Sensing the carnage about to be done,
She changes hunter into frightened prey,
’til the low worm admits he’s only a crumb.

She raises a new hunt, to be obeyed,
even as blind men claw the sacred earth
shouting about their male omnipotence.
The huntress points to the starry purpled way,
to valleys of fearless and wild wealth.
Ahh, to be her prey! On knees, to kiss her ass!
