It also has something to do with the total number of points they score throughout the season and the total number of points that were scored against them. I think there's another factor they consider, but I don't know what.

There's also strength of schedule (a measure of the competitive level a team is playing at).

If a school has played mostly weak teams during the season, even if they are undefeated their ranking will be lower because their opposition wasn't as great a challenge.

By contrast, a school who played more games against stronger teams and has a loss or two, will be ranked higher than an undefeated team with a weaker schedule.

Except for the Ducks uniforms. Or am I the only one whose eyes glaze over with the green uniform on the green field? I have trouble seeing individual plays.

Hell,for the next game they might wear purple....they don't call them Nike U for nothing.
No other team has as many variations on uniforms as Oregon.

I haven't watched Oregon much this year, but I think Boise State also has some kind of deal with Nike. Their uniforms change pretty much every week...and often are ugly as hell.
