ORIGINAL: Nakhla I'm finding it difficult to know how paranoid is paranoid enough. I really don't want to become so suspicious I don't let anyone in to my life, yet... Be paranoid enough until you are comfortable. If you have an ounce of sense, you should smell bullshit a mile away. That is very very true Gauge. I don't know how the *bleep* I have managed to do this....I don't mean to brag....but I have to say that I honestly don't understand it. I have never had a bad experience, or been stood up when meeting someone that I originally met online, and over the last 4 years I've probably met 20-25 men. Sure, with most of them, we discovered there was no connection or chemistry at the in-person meeting, but they just always ended with a shrug, apology and "I wish you better luck".... but never anything traumatic. And hell....I don't even use my cam or have a Skype account. Okay....correction.... I was "stood up" once, but then he called me an hour after he was supposed to be there and told me that something came up, But then we re-scheduled, and for that meeting he did show up. I wish I knew how to explain it....but all I can say is that I agree with Gauge....it's a bullshit detector. I also think that you need to make sure that you are thinking with the brain that;s between your ears and not with the one between your legs....and that you can tell that the other person is doing the same thing. I think you have to make sure that you don't get too excited about anything until something genuine and serious develops and you KNOW that they aren't going to disappear.
