I honestly dont think the cane is so bad I dont know why people think it hurts so much I have been caned so many times by so many different canes by a few different people and honestly I think the brush hurts more... i dont much like the brush something about it it hurts so bad and it makes me feel like a child... I think its the fact it makes me feel like a naughty lil girl because pain wise it feels about the same as the paddle yet i hate the brush more.. go figure

Good point. Yes, my guess (now that you bring it up) is the the pain of the cane might depend on how it's applied and the receiver's pain tolerance.Good to know some don't think it's completely, totally, relentlessly painful.

Honestly I have a pretty low pain tolerance... I just dont think the cane is that bad but then again to me whippy isnt as bad as the thud of wood!! if the implament has give it doesnt hurt as much at least to me

I am far from a pain slut the things i hate most tho are clover clamps and paddles.... I  do like almost anything  as long as it is used in sensory aspects .... And the cane  I like becuse it give two  sharp sensations one going in and one radiating back out

Maybe a lot of things, then, come into play as far as how pain tolerant (besides whatever set biological boundaries they might or might not have) a particular implement or method of bdsm actvity being "inflicted" on them is.

I have a real deep fear of knives - not due to the pain I think they might cause, but mostly from the terror in a bad past experience where I had no control over what was going to happen to me when someone used a razor  blade (plus, some knives, I think, are just big and scary looking).I can imagine feeling more pain then there actually might be due to "pressure" from a knife in a knifeplay scenario because of this.  Maybe "how much pain" someone feels might all be relative (compared to what?)...and varies from one person to another. I'm really scared of knives.

Pegs on my nipples make me squirm.  The real ouch for me is Mistress's hairbrush, that hurts so badly and I know if I get that I have really annoyed her.

I love canes, whips, any kind of nipple torture, knives.

But the one thing i absolutely hate is this shower brush Master bought for me. It's made of this really hard wood and long handled so he can get a good swing. He loves it because of the 'cute round bruises it leaves' (his words). Just thinking about it makes me shake in fear.

Anything that produces just surface sting, although I don't necessarily hard limit them....only serves to piss me off. Trust me on this...me pissed off is just not a very pretty sight....lol.

CANES........ purrs, and purrs some more,  canes are wonderful wonderful toys, so many sensations so much warmth.  i do not know what the problem is with a nice whippy cane nor a nice thick solid one *grins*

The one thing I've discovered really becomes painful is being tied to the doorframe Loki has set up for this purpose.  After 20 - 30 minutes with my arms above my head, my shoulders, arthritic already, begin to take over every other sensation in my body.  

Oh and I hate his cupping set when they're used too zealously!

Honestly i have such complete trust and i have given myself completly to Master there are no instruments i fear.  That being said the most horrific thing i can think of would be to dissapoint or let my Master down.  To have Him displeased with me or worse angry hurts me to my very being.  He only needs to give me that look and i know i am pushing and going too near the edge of  somewhere i do not ever want to go.

It's funny how different people experience painful things different ways. Two of the most frequent mentioned items here -- nipple clamps and canes -- are two of my favorites. However, clothespins on my dick, now that is unbearable pain. I'm cringing just thinking about how that felt.

I was a bit cane challenged a while back, and searching around in my house I found a long-handled wooden spoon.

Has a long cane-like handle, makes a bruise with the cup side down that looks creepily like a kiss, and leaves lovely divots with the rounded side.

More a sting than a thud, from what I have been told.

What I found was a bit weird is that a bunch of small smacks tended to freak her out a lot more than one big swat.

Just me, could be wrong.
