ORIGINAL: thishereboi Ok I see the problem. When I said they do it because it's the smart thing to do and NOT because big brother says they have to, I meant big brother does not say they have to and they still do. This implies that there isn't a bill making it mandatory. Now according to polite they did it over there before this so I am not sure why they had to implement the new policy but apparently they felt they did. And now that that's cleared up I would also like to mention that until people stop being so fucking lazy and get up and move around it won't help. I know you are stupid BUT, no one has implemented a new policy. It is just an idea as I keep repeating and you and others keep ignorring.. It's not a program, then? Cant you understand "Implemented" ? I admit it hasn't been implemented yet, so I was wrong. But, it sure seems like a foregone conclusion, doesn't it? From the OP's article: quote:
Mr Stevens promised to introduce the first ever national programme to target millions of people at risk of diabetes, because their weight is creeping up. ... "That’s why the NHS is going to be funding a new national programme, proven to work, that will offer tens of thousands of people at risk of diabetes proper support to get healthier, eat better and exercise more," he said. And, just because I am a prick... did anyone else notice what the guy (Mr. Stevens, Head of the NHS) said there? Lemme distill it down a bit: "the NHS is going to be funding a programme that will offer tens of thousands of people proper support to get healthier, eat better and exercise more." Now, I wonder which poster it was that stated that using the word "support" rather than "ensure" would have been more accurate? [;)]
