Happy, safe, prosperous New Year to you all!

Just to clarify the title: It means anyone who's not a shit-stirring rouser of rabbles. Before people assume I mean "everyone on the right"; I would like to specifically shout out to a couple not on that side:

Zonie
MrRodgers
JeffBC (If he's still around)
Butch

I'm sure I forgot a few. I apologize but I think it needs to be noted that you don't stoop to personal attacks and are people that observe rules of debate. Those facts alone, enhance my time here.

One more clarification: Before too many assumptions are made; I also have six prominent "righties" from here on hide so, the title is NOT just about one side or the other.

May you all find the peace and comfort that every human being deserves.

I think those people are just plain angry and this is just a way of taking that anger out on people. If it weren't politics it would be someone else. I'd rather debate than engage in drama which is why I mostly stay out of the politics boards.

Well, sometimes I am, and sometimes I ain't, and sometimes the shit rises up and I have to beat it back with a stick, which can look like stirring to those who don't know the particular circumstances.

I knew this thread was for me, because I am not only a GOOD poster, but I am also sweet, kind, funny, on and on.


Happy New Year to all the GOOD posters, and I hope everyone will make an effort to be more thoughtful and considerate when posting.

We can ALL agree to DISAGREE, and still be respectful of other people's POINTS OF VIEW.

People have a RIGHT not to agree, and we all have a RIGHT to have a different opinions.

One of the MAIN problems on these boards is the vitriolic and nasty attitudes that many people develop, because people do not agree with them.

We are all adults here, and should be capable of divergent opinions, without "resorting" to being nasty and rude.

When I run in to some of the many posters, that feel the need to go back and forth, and seem to have unlimited time and energy to do that, I say my peace and walk away from the discusssion.
