Exaxtamundo! Really this is a great place to come to vent, reasonably so, and a good place for advice. Not such a great place to start handing out torches to hunt Frankenstein's monster. There are too many seasoned folk on this side to buy into that shit. We do get enough n00bs around here that are genuinely mortified by what a D did (although no one knows what the fuck it was... I'm leaning towards wiped his ass on grandma's hand embroidered hand towel and lied about it) they will happily accept the torch and burn the monster.

I think you are turning a mole hill into a volcano. It doesn't seem nearly that dramatic to me. 3 month relationship, he lied about something petty, it rocked the boat of trust. I see her feelings as valid but only something she can examine. Some people do think there are rules and protocols and even get medical advice from their Ds so considering I've seen it all, I would call this one of the least dramatic threads.

As for this thread.. if all of you truly believe this person is actually legit and looking for advice and venting after admitting that the profile is a sock... this place has slipped into a forum of political correctness that is not only abhorrent but just WTF... Having not one but both attack me for nothing more than repeating what was said and pointing out the obvious realm this whole thing exists in.. I just cannot in good faith stay in this thread and hold my peace.. My toys and myself will be elsewhere.. Edited cause of one missing freaking letter. Grumbles about messing up flouncing

And to Tyrant, well I agree we have no idea what he lied about, I think the dilemma for OP was the lying part and how it damaged trust. She can allow him to redeem himself or not. It's pretty cut and dry. Honestly I am thinking of this person mulling it over in their minds then creating a sock account in order to get advice. I think the decision to remain incog and giving only information she/he/whoever is comfortable sharing is fine. Maybe he (the DaddyDom) is trying to figure out how to redeem himself in her eyes. I'm just going on what I know would be good advice should this scenario be true. May not be applicable to OP, but might be to someone else seeking answers.

Feel better 3! The op sounds like she's grounded and is killing off the school break by making up nonsense. Because of course a minor fib from a dude she's only dated since the school year started is deeper and more true and heart breaking than anything else. If there's any truth in it, which personally I doubt, then honey it's time for you to grow up. Everybody lies on occasion. Your inability to tolerate your partner being fallible is your problem, not his. He can do better. If you don't stop expecting perfection in people, then this three months will probably rank as one of your longer lasting relationships.

Back, when I was married, lo, those many years ago, my ex-wife would ask me: "Did you take the garbage out?" If I said: "No", I'd get a five minute dose of shit about how I would need to get up five minutes early to beat the garbage truck to the curb ... yada, yada, yada ... I used to just say: "Yes", knowing that I *knew* that I had to get up five minutes early, etc. I was never really comfortable with whoppers but I was one of those that used to buy into the term "little white lies". I no longer do. If someone will lie to me (and I count lies of omission) about something as silly as "Why didn't you get the car serviced?", what will they do with the serious issues? Will I get the truth? How can I know? While there may be an excess of "drama" in that the OP feels like their whole world is falling apart, maybe I can add some perspective: Your whole world isn't falling apart. You're relationship is. There are far more people in this world who do not practice openness and absolute honesty than those that do. You have found one of those people (honestly, you can't swing a dead cat without finding one of them in this world). It's sounds like you've already made a decision but, in case you haven't; it's one only *you* can make. If "little white lies" aren't acceptable to you, then have the courage of your convictions and do something about it. While "venting" may be a step, now, it's time to put one foot in front of the other and for you to walk the walk instead of just talking the talk. Good luck, Michael
