Not sure exactly where to post my question. There doesn't seem to be a group specifically for website problems so I will start here and see how it goes.

When I log in I get the red "You were successfully logged in" message at the top of the page.
However, I can only see the reduced set of buttons on the left that you see when you are not logged in.
I am also seeing the username/password prompts, suggesting that I am not logged in.

So although the message says I am logged in, I am only getting the functionality of someone who is not logged in.

The fact that I can get into these message boards and post here suggests that I am actually logged in.

Anyone got any suggestions?

That happened to me today when I tried to log in on my iPad, but it is totally possible I've forgotten my password.

Sorry no suggestions for you!

That link is your only way. If you're unable to log in with your account, create another one and try contacting them via that one.

@LookieNoNookie: Yes I am logged in, but I am only getting the functionality of a non-logged-in user

Is there an email address I can use to contact the support people?

See above.

There's a "contact us" link on that page.

(By the way @CruelAndNasty789....using @ symbol to respond to someone in a forum such as this is the equivalent of calling every female from New Jersey "Mademoiselle"....or "babe").

@LookieNoNookie: Many thanks for using me as an outlet for your over-active mind!

Has anyone got any sensible and constructive advice?

Lookie: that is the way to respond to people on fetlife. Using the @ symbol in front of their name like he did makes the comment that follows show up on that person's list of messages. Of course, this isn't fetlife...

You were given all the sensible and constructive advice anyone here can offer. Asking the same question repeatedly isn't going to get you any different answers.

Are you doing this from a computer or a phone? Also what browser are you using?
Try a different device and a different browser and see if it still happens.

Otherwise, write a mod and ask them to write support for you because you can't. That's all a mod can do.

I am running on a pc - Windows 7, IE11

It works fine on phone (Samsung Galaxy - Android)

Just discovered that it works ok under Firefox, but I really would like to get it running on IE.

This leads me to believe it is an Internet Explorer setting somewhere. Before you ask, yes I have cleared Temporary Internet Files!

That's odd. Usually things work on IE and Chrome is what causes tearing out of hair.
However, since you can write support using Firefox, try that. Maybe they'll have a suggestion.
