Yesterday afternoon I couldn't get on this site. My O2 provider decided I may be under 18 and asked me to phone and clarify who was using the phone. It turned out not to be that simple and 2 hours later I sent a message to my husband saying, " bloody 02 won't let me go on adult sites" and then sent it accidentally to my youngest son. I imagine my son now thinks I watch porn all day [&:]

Have you ever sent a risky text message to the wrong person ?

Explain to your son that there's more to being adult than a euphemism for porn.

That would be a good conversation to have with him anyway.

I haven't done that as such, but I've constantly sent the wrong person texts, emails, or called them.

I was forced in to having a conversation with my son when he was 15 that has saved a lot of embarrassment since with things I've sent, or said, and likewise.

I went on a date once with a guy that otherwise went well, but we decided it wouldn't work out long term because he wanted monogamy and I didn't. At the time I was also seeing a couple, but seeking a primary. After the date was over I texted the girlfriend and told her what happened, only to find I'd actually sent that text to my date.

Thankfully he took it well, and decided there are worse things to call him than "monogamous."

What did you call me? A monogamous?

Roxie that is hilarious and the stuff of nightmares [:D]

This isn't the first message I've mistakenly sent to my son. I had a blazing row with my ex and later sent him a text message saying something like, "you're an absolute bastard and I never want to see you again". 2 minutes later I got a text back from my son (a different son) who was around 13 at the time, saying; "But why mum? what have I done? I love you". I had a lot of apologising and explaining to do.

@needles, my children know that I'm into the alternative lifestyle but my eldest son, the one I sent this last message to, disapproves.

oh dear, does he disapprove just because you're his mum, or because he's so vanilla?
