I have never been in chastity myself, so I'm just asking. I'm serving a Mistress who does not demand that of me. I would think that, in addition to the massive power transfer, after a couple of weeks "in the tube" the lack of release would start to affect how your mind works.......drain your libido.....affect other parts of your life.....work, for example, or make you testy and short-tempered, or whatever. And if you're in chastity for months there must be some kind of huge psychological effect. I know that Dominants like chastity because it makes the male more sensitive to her needs, and gives her more power. But I was wondering about these other effects. What do people think?

Those in my house have posed this question in numerous threads. I'm sure LA can find you the proper links. While we received many great answers the conclusions are still in debate, though it seems to me that the male slave unlike most of the females loses his desire to serve for a period of days to weeks after being granted sexual release.

I think there are some lessons to be learned about instant gratification and impulse control and in putting a sub in chastity, it often teaches that serving isn't based on sexual spontaneity, but on growth, challenges and privilege. When sexual release is random and unexpected, IMO, one can be more focused on things such as work, other non-sexual issues, that sometimes needs attention. Of course I also see some frustration arise on both sides especially if we play physically without arriving to orgasm, but that is when we remind each other of the dynamics of the relationship, and how I wish to possess him and control him as I desire. Mine sometimes forgets its not all about his needs. It also makes for some really intense orgasms, when I release him from his chastity. [;)] Nina

In my past relationship, I was kept in chastity on and off for a year and a half. Basically, I was let out anywhere from twice a week to once every two weeks so I could please my Mistress. This was coupled with knowing I could only orgasm when she allowed me to, which was after she was completely satisfied. I fond the psychological effects to be positive overall. I don't think I got testy or short-tempered, though my Mistress was careful that I didn't stay in longer than two weeks. Instead, I found that the energy drain I often feel when I masturbate too much was totally gone. I found myself aroused more often because of the denial, and also that my arousal was focused on my Mistress. I found myself wanting to spend more time with her in the hopes she'd want to let me out. So, in summary, I'm a big fan of chastity and think it can have very positive effects and make a relationship closer. (The great orgasms after being locked up for a week or two also help!)

i've become a big fan of male chastity, too. It never entered my mind until six years ago, when a prospective Mistress told me about Her demand for it and had me get a CB-2000. Now i find it to be the one element of my submission that combines the sexual and the psychological without any "play" and makes us both very happy. my Goddess wants to keep me locked up, in part, because it is an element of the TPE that She wants. i like it that Someone wants that level of control over me. i find the process of getting locked up to be very stimulating and usually go through a few hours of 'discomfort' until i adjust. i think all the effects are very positive. NINASHARP and ichana and i all feel the same. And yes, those times unlocked and allowed orgasm are intense. We are at the stage in my evaluation that, while She is on holiday overseas for two weeks, She's having me lock myself up for the evening after i get home from work. To get back in the groove, as it were. She ordered me to get a Curve the other day, which will become my new 24/7 device for the near term. If She collars me permanently, i would prefer steel, like a Goethal's belt, for everyday wear. But you need something like a Curve for airports and other places with metal detectors. She has said that when my chastity becomes permanent i will be allowed out on a regular basis for release, but has not said how often. i hope in a few months to post here that i have an Owner and keyholder, both for my collar and device.

Thank you for your replies. Now I have a more positive view of chastity should Ms. L get interested. Having her let you out a couple of times a week or even once a week is more frequent than I'd heard about. I can see that the eventual orgasms would be very intense, especially as She controls the time and place and you'll never know when.......must be torture when she takes it out and plays, then puts it back with no release.

Thank you, MM, so far so good. If i can fulfill what She wants, then we'll both have achieved our goals. my real tests are coming in the next few weeks, we shall see. i am confident. i can't think of why Ms. Lauren wouldn't be interested in keeping you locked up. The first time it happened with me, several years ago, it was an awakening. Find a way to drop the subtle hint that you would want Her control to extend that far. Ms. NinaSharp definitely knows what male chastity is about. As does my Goddess.

To the OP: In a word -- negatively... the prospect of orgasm is highly motivating, and made even more so by becoming a reality, frequently.
