My beloved Grandfather always called me smiley.  The name had just evolved a bit.  I like the letter 'z'.

I have no idea where I got this name .. well actually I created this name to reflect my journey it seems I have a subtle yet effective way of taming even the wildest of girls thus the taming the wild ones .... but I bet you already figured that part out ....

Ron you let me down Bruddah .. I thought there was for sure some deep seeded meaning to that name .... and I just smacked myself in the head after jessica explained her name ... do I feel like a DOHHHhhhhh after that one ...

Level is shortened from leveller, which was a group in England a couple of centuries ago that were dedicated to freedom. Also, I see balance as a good thing, and my astrological sign is Libra, again bringing in balance to the whole mess. (No, I do not believe in astrology).

I was going to be:

but it wouldn't fit and I didn't want to shorten it any.

Hope that helps.

my former Master named me kitten, so for 7 years i was known as Arach's kitten... However after i asked for release, i had to change everything to just kitten... Needless to say, there billions of "kittens" on the INTERNET, so i choose kittensmailbox... {it can be taken many ways}...

A former Master called me his feast, feastie came about because, believe it or not, feast was taken!  The name just became part of me, using it at munches, because that's how everyone knew me from our listserv, etc.  Everyone mistakes the meaning behind the name, however, so I must explain.

This part is really mushy and poetic though, brace yourselves...

He called me feast, because, he said at the time, "You are a feast for all my senses, my mind and my hunger."

Of course, he adores challenging, wildly emotional women

I chose my name 1 because i love spankings and 2 cause of my sarcasm the muh instead of my and butt instead of ass or azz, was just that in fact sarcasm......so it was made as more of a goof but to still get my point across

I chose *agirl* simply because it means nothing apart from the fact that I'm female.......it gives little information, as does my profile.

Great thread Enigma,

I have had the name Wild since I was a child. I grew up on a cattle ranch in Arizona and learned to ride horses before I could walk. I was always a little reckless and wild about riding when I was younger so my grandmother would call me wild and it stuck. My first name is William and of course everyone calls me Bill, so it soon became Wild Bill after the wild west character. The CFL was added much later when I needed a screen name about 20 years ago. I had been married for a short time and my wife and I were very much in love. We always would kiss each other and say good night or goodbye for the day with  "CFL" or committed for life.

I orginally went with the name shylilhellcat. I am shy when I meet people in person for the first time and if I don't know you. I loved the contridiction of the name. But when I changed that name a bit when I was with someone and it seemed as if it had lost it's meaning and I my identity. So I changed to impishlilhellcat because it's really who I am. I am an imp, I'm young compared to so many on here (I've been called a  baby or kid more times than I can remember), and I am a hellcat. I'm a sam, a pain in the ass, and plain trouble.

ive had my nickname for about 6 years now. my bf at the time gave me the name. it means darling in italian.. or treasure, depending on which way you translate it. it was always a very special name to me and i loved it. after his passing some years ago the name stayed with me. it was a name that stood for everything that i learned in life, and also sort of a precious name i wanted to keep and treasure forever.

OK there are some interesting nicks around here, we have had threads on the best names and the worst now how about explaining what your name means and why you chose it!!

Hey enigmabrat and all....

I get to call myself Doctor,
.... cause I wasted many years in universities.

I choose to call myself Dubious
....because I like the word, it amuses me.

Alliteration, ambiguity, playfulness, humor, teasing,
word-play, thinking, writing, and talking all entertain me.

Teasing gives me small pleaures.

Teasing of a more physical nature gives me greater pleasures

DD

PS, if you are a submissive woman,
read that line again, just above
where I initialed this email as DD.

If the thought of giving me greater pleasures gives you that special tingle,
I want you to write me an email now.
Go ahead dear... it's a simple thing....

and I told you to do it.

There are satisfactions in obeying me, as you well know.
And greater satisfactions in loving to obey me, as you also know.

PPSS, if you are philosophically inclined ...
(poor dear, you really should have that condition treated)
you might notice the self-reflexive nature of dubious.
The word dubious is... in and of itself... a dubious word.

PPPSSSS, here's a list of related words from a thesaurus.

ambiguous, debatable, disinclined, doubtful, equivocal, indefinite, indeterminate, mistrustful, obscure, open, problematic, problematical, skeptical, unclear, undecided, unsettled

cryptic, enigmatic,  puzzling, questionable, tenebrous,

arguable, chancy, debatable, diffident, disputable, dubitable, equivocal, farfetched, fishy*, fly-by-night*, hesitant, iffy*, improbable,  moot, mootable, open, perplexed, problematic, questionable, reluctant,  skeptical, suspect, suspicious, , unclear, unconvinced, undecided,  unlikely,

fly-by-night*, ..... I used to think I could do some good in the world for women in the weight loss business.  Turns out that it's closer to ludicrous than dubious.  We had 3 centers in 3 big cities, and tens of thousands of clients before I figured out that losing weight, which they mostly did... was totally beside the point for most women.  Slow learner ain't associated with dubious in this thesaurus, but it should be.

fly-by-night*, ......... now I'm in Los Angeles quixotically trying to make this fucked up health insurance system work better for both employers and employees. If that isn't a dubious enterprise, I don't know what is.  Sounds altruistic, doesn't it? Altruistic isn't cited as close to dubious either, but it should be, eh?

Also, I want to make a shit-load of money.  But that ain't dubious at all.

fly-by-night*, ......... in 2008, if some miracle happens and we ARE able to get some traction on making health insurance work better, I have a brilliant young partner who's plotted with me about going to San Francisco and taking things to a whole new level.  We are too frickin busy for the next years to do anything at all about it, but we both love San Francisco.  Beautiful city.  Inspirational creative energy about the place.  And I've been told there's lots of perverts and deviants there.  Sounds like home.  But we can't even think of what or how to do it for 2 years... so it's a mere dubious-dream.

declared, described, ostensible, pretended, professed, purported,  so-called, stated, supposed, suspect, suspicious

arguable, argumentative, contended, contentious, contestable, controvertible, debatable, disputable, disputatious, disputed, doubtable, doubtful, dubitable, in dispute, litigious, moot, polemical***, questionable, suspect, uncertain

Alleged.

Alleged.

and in a final bit of irony....

polemical,  Have you read my wheezy forum posts?  Jeeezuz

PPPSSS,
you have stalled enough darlin'
... write me that email NOW!
