IronicTautology -> Humorous insults...a question (2/1/2015 5:02:39 PM)

I know, from reading the forums, that plenty of women have gotten rather childish messages from men they have politely rejected.

These messages usually include the words "fat" and "ugly". At my age (60) "wrinkled", "saggy" and "dried up" are pretty common. I've always been curious as to why they contacted me in the first place if I'm all those things. [:)]

Recently, I moved to central Pennsylvania where it is very rural. After decades of city living I am in love with my new digs. Low cost of living, honest, non-pretentious folks and beautiful landscapes. Interestingly, when I now reject a potential suitor he often includes the adjective "redneck" to the above mentioned insults. I'm assuming it's because of where I now live.

My question: Has anyone else had insults based on where they live?

Ha, really weird women are contacting you with those messages. I did have a 60 something year old self ordained poet flood my box, actually I liked him. There was something very charming about his honesty and the way he flooded my inbox with dystopian poetry. I was trying to re-tell what he said but decided to copy/paste instead. (I'm actually hoping he's this awesome in person).
I am really looking for a good woman who will support me and
let me move in with her. I don't have a job but I am looking.
I don't have a car but I finally got my license back.
I do like to drink and will admit I have a taste for drugs.
I won't try to change you if you don't try to change me.
I am a dam good lover and I really like to let go
and have a good laugh. I have been married seven times
but hey I never said I was perfect. As far as negetive things about me
I really like to sleep late and I am not a fix up everything kind of guy.
I am laid back and mellow and know how to throw a great party.
I suppose my pet peeve is someone who tells me not to smoke
in the house, dam that gets me!! I am on this site looking for true love
I got a photo but I was pretty drunk and stoned that day.
My hair was messed up but you can tell it's me.

Hmm...no, not that I can remember.

But, I also don't recall being called fat or ugly, either.

I was called an idiot once. But that wasn't in response to rejection. That was just his natural sort of charm, I think. :)

Actually, they are really weird men.

Men? That's even worse. Sorry, I thought you were seeking those of the female persuasion for whatever reason. I really don't get rude messages in my inbox. I think I scare the trolls, LOL. I did have one recently offer to be my domestic servant while I have an earner servant. His idea is to get some guy to move a Domme and the domestic servant into earner's house and wanted to use me as a point of reference to scout. I told him to keep me out of his nonsense to which "he" replied, "wow, you are stupid". Of course I am. [:D]

From the time I was a kid, growing up in Brooklyn, we called anything that wasn't Philthadelphia or Pittsburgh "Pennsyltucky". It came to us because a friend had a cousin from Philthadelphia and he said that was just the way it was.

Now, I find myself living in Pennsyltucky (Check my location under my avatar). I have to admit that everything you said about the heartland of Pennsyltucky is accurate. I LOVE it here (except for the damned weather).

I think there are lots of places that have an ages-old tradition of being trashed upon. Cleveland is "The Mistake on the Lake". Flushing, Queens is usually referred to as: "A good idea".

In the Army, there were always nicknames for different posts/places.

Fort Wegotcha (Ft. Huachuca, Az.), Ft. Lost-In-The-Woods, Misery (Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.), etc.

I've never been one to take any of it too seriously.

Some guy who lives in some remote part of PA got mad when I said he was too far.

He said, I feel sorry for you that you in such a dreadful, God forsaken place.

I said, yes, my gorgeous view of the NY skyline from every window, beautiful park on the other side and close proximity to cultural riches is SO dreadful.

camille65 -> RE: Humorous insults...a question (2/1/2015 6:41:41 PM)

No I haven't but I live in Austin TX which is a way totally neato place!

I've had insults about other things, just not about where I live.

smileforme50 -> RE: Humorous insults...a question (2/1/2015 7:17:36 PM)

I lived in (DuBois) Pennsyltucky for a couple of years....I liked it....I kind of miss it. My sister used live in Hershey....."Chocolate Town"....she liked living there too.

Delaware....that's another story..... I mean...damn..even the people who live here call it "DelaWHERE(?)", "Hellaware", "Dullaware", and "Vanillaware" (notice the line under my avatar). So if anyone shoots me an insult about my home turf, I just laugh and say "tell me something I don't already know".

IronicTautology -> RE: Humorous insults...a question (2/2/2015 2:21:34 PM)

I lived in Delaware for a number of years. Wilmington, to be exact. I liked living in the city because I didn't own a car at the time. Public transportation in Wilmington was pretty good.

But...if I wanted to have a good time I would drive about a half hour north to Philadelphia!

Gauge -> RE: Humorous insults...a question (2/2/2015 10:16:36 PM)

Insults due to location? I usually tell people that I live about 50 miles north of Philadelphia. They often ask if I am an Eagles fan which I am. To which they reply...

Did you boo Santa Claus?

I usually reply: I was 3 fucking years old. Santa was my fucking hero back then. Booing him would have doomed me for eternity. Fuck you.

They never write back.

Is this the wrong approach?

Keep Austin weird!!!

satanscharmer -> RE: Humorous insults...a question (2/3/2015 7:00:22 AM)

When I lived in Kansas, I did receive a few messages stating that I must be the only kinky person in the state.
I'm not even from Kansas. Then it made me wonder...

inkedone -> RE: Humorous insults...a question (2/3/2015 11:25:53 AM)

Just thinking a perfect response to comments such as this is " no matter the tiny crack in this world from whence you hail a pretty face gets old. A nice body will change, but a good women will always be a good women".

Kill them with kindness my Grammie always says.

Nope not on CollarMe/space or CollarChat forums.

Next time tell them you are very saggy and you want to tie your long drooping labia lips behind his neck while he licks you while listening to country music.

IronicTautology -> RE: Humorous insults...a question (2/3/2015 2:53:39 PM)

LOL. I love you, Resident Sadist. [;)]

PeonForHer -> RE: Humorous insults...a question (2/3/2015 3:55:40 PM)

In the UK, there was a widespread and deplorable habit of referring to denizens of the USA as "Americans".

However, the term has gone through some major changes in recent years, leading to it being 'reclaimed'. Certain films, in which leading characters (noted for their coolness and edginess), address each other as "Americans", have removed the pejorative nature of the term. A recent film by Quentin Tarantino was seminal in this respect.

However, I'd still balk at referring to an 'American' as such, unless I was an 'American' myself, which I am not! [:)]

Wayward5oul -> RE: Humorous insults...a question (2/4/2015 8:44:51 AM)

I once rejected a guy from another state who did that. My profile clearly states that I am not interested in long distance, but he wrote me from 200 miles away anyway, and when I said 'no thank you' and pointed to my stated view on distance, I got this back

'thank you for representing why Alabama is the next to last state with the highest amount of ignorant people in the entire country, only beaten by your neighbor Mississippi

mnottertail -> RE: Humorous insults...a question (2/4/2015 8:47:06 AM)

I expect that is where he was from, Mississippi. Somewhere around 200 miles away.
