ORIGINAL: Real0ne If you are a bureaucrat I suppose snowden is a traitor, on the other hand if you are a common everyday american snowden is a hero. quote:
NSA illegally collected thousands of emails before Fisa court halted program Declassified court ruling from 2011 found government 'disclosed substantial misrepresentation' of data collection program. does anyone have an explanation why the government and its agencies can not only break the law with impunity but face no consequences or price to be paid beyond a court order to stop. I'm willing to bet they got either a finger wag and a stern look, too. quote:
It seems to me that every person in the US would technically have a trespass case against the government. Then again its a very very very small world cant have any free speech or press now can we! quote:
Lord Blair told BBC Radio 4's Broadcasting House programme: "The state has to have secrets..... He warned there was a "new threat which is not of somebody personally intending to aid terrorism, but of conduct which is likely to or capable of facilitating terrorism". He cited the examples of information leaks related to Bradley Manning and WikiLeaks. Snowden couldnt even trust the US news agencies, and the doors to get anything that effects the public, public will soon be closed. Any solution to these ongoing growing problems in this country? It's the same solution we have to other problems. We need to be a better people, be better-informed voters, and elect better people. Unfortunately, the solution is much easier said than realized.
