Was wondering if there was a way to delete old posts that you yourself started? Like if you don't want the post or question out there anymore, and if you created the thread? Has anyone done it? Well, let me know, thanks.

As far as I'm aware, unless a kind Mod deletes a thread/post, it is there forever.

And just because you don't want it any more, someone else may learn from what was posted.

OP, you can email me, but it is rarely done. I mean, really, really, really rare. I will need the info on the post/thread. I am not sure I can make that happen for you, I will have to consult with someone else once I know what is going on.

Personally, there isn't enough time in my day to clean up after people that might want to change history or go back in time.

Have I ever mentioned how those few words inspire me?

Don't hurt me.

OMG, I could be orgasmic.

All the better. I love a good chair and interrogation scenes and you're already sitting!

Old posts never die -- you're stuck with the wood, like Viagra.

Well there is one way that I would NOT, I say again I would NOT recommend, that is to start a flame war on the thread. It'll violate the TOS and probably end up with your account banned but the thread will probably get locked as well. For the last time I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COURSE OF ACTION.

It wouldn't get that far because I have a feeling it would be an old thread and I would close it before it got to that point. I never sleep.

It's a good thing people can't delete their posts. This way, anyone who reads their profile can see what kind of things they believe and get a much better view of who the person really is.

The fact that those ill written words drive others away hopefully will be a learning lesson for the future.

You can delete a post within a certain amount of time, like an hour, after you post it. After that, the thread will be around long after humanity itself has ceased to exist.

The best thing to do is to think before you hit send.

Giving Mod 3 more work to do is paramount to asking Ron to give up blowjobs. You can ask, but it will do nothing.

Alright, is there anyway to change my moniker or nickname on here? to alter it to something else? (And will it be altered on all the aforementioned posts?)

No. The only way is to abandon your old profile and start a new one, with a new name.

NM. DS beat me to it.

On the plus side, you're posting history will not follow you to your new profile.

FR

Gauge. I don't mind more work on things I can actually be helpful with and will hope that members ask me if they need assistance or want to be sure they can do something and if they need me to do something. If I can do it; I will. Something like this could be a major job though and if I do it for one member, other members might expect it as well and we have created a nightmare. It would have to be extremely important to remove anything. A spouse seeing it, may be important to you, but that isn't a reason that I could remove a post or thread.

My email is open to everyone and I welcome questions. I am just very slow are reading and responding, though I may read enough to see if there is a problem and will come back to it as soon as I can.
