Ok, so I'm posting this cause of another thread that just literally poofed while I was making this or I would have linked back to it, but as with another member on this site; I was under the mistaken impression that mentioning another member by name in a thread they had not contributed to was against the rules/ToS. So having just discovered that is not the actual case, I pose the question what rules/ToS are you unclear on or do you think you are clear on all the rules?

I also searched the forums to try and find where I might have read that rule, the only thing I could find was in the old P&R section.

Edited cause I needed an s at the end of rules and to change the to a question mark...

Edited again cause I want to add the disclaimer...

I'm asking this more for a view on how others using the site know the rules/ToS, not blaming or being upset with the mods... I personally think MOD3 ROCKS!!! but I know in the past there have been disgruntled members with the moderation (personally, I feel that is more cause they wanted to do/say what and how they wanted, not necessarily the moderation itself)

Look for moderatortwentyone saying something about it. I used to have it written down, but since my move and having about thirty notebooks I work from, I am not looking for it and it took me a while to find the right words if I remember correctly.

Not every rule is spelled out on the forum or any TOS or guidelines. Some were depending on the staff and what they felt was best for the forum. Some were not discussed with anyone they should have been or a rule was meant with certain conditions and there are variances and I have seen some used in ways they weren't meant to be used in.

It can take a very long time to know what a mod needs to know here and how to look at things. We are going to make mistakes. So I am sure there are a lot of things that members don't know or may be confused on. However, I cannot answer those things on this thread or in email or promise to as I haven't had any sleep. If I can do something that would be nice, but what if I answer one and can't another? This could be a huge problem seeing as though some think I favor some people.

I am here because I love this site and the members are a part of that. Sure, some give me a headache, but then they can take a headache away too. I was once here and got my share of gold.

I remember threads that you cried over. From laughter or what someone was going through. We want the freedom to have some of that again. Its not all about rules here. Its about having some fun and that should be more important than a whole lot of other things. Rules are important, gold is gold, bans are rare and tend to be the only way I can go with it at that time. I don't like bans. I'm a dom. I would rather instruct and don't like punishment dynamics, so sometimes I just do what I have to do, but would like another route.

Oh, I know.. It was from a while back that I thought about that rule.... I am just more curious about what the others think about their own knowledge of the rules/ToS or if they just kinda freelance and hope that they hit the mark without getting in trouble..

I'll keep searching, thanks for the help.. Admittedly I suck at searching the forums

Yea, I think we should be happy there are Moderators at all and let them do their thing but I think criticizing a report is fair. Teehee!

I am not upset, just tired and missing things.

I am glad the thread is here though. I may not be able to answer, but I can read and try to see what the needs are and eventually get to things so people can understand. My hospital stays have just about done me in and I am trying to catch up so I can make some money. lol So its double days for me.

This could actually be funny.

Till next time, you all have fun.

I dont know all the TOS rules and really dont care to know them all. This is pretty well run and the addition of the "pretty much a free for all" forums was a good idea. As one who does not take pleasure in swapping insults, i dont post on them but to each, their own.

Until recently I thought it was against TOS to use explicit photos as your primary. Turned out I was wrong, even though I was sure at one time I had read that in the rules. My mistake.

at first I was going to question 'not every rule is spelled out in the forum or any TOS or guidelines', but then I thought that we all, as site users, have a responsibility to have some self censorship, manners, and such that becomes self ruling.

however, I'm not sure how I feel about written rules being open to personal interpretation on a moderators part. I may also be reading the above incorrectly, but I also don't like the implication that there are unwritten rules. if this is the case it sets members up to fail on grounds they were never aware of in the first place, and also leaves open claim of abuse of power.

I think it was Hilly that was able to prove some time ago that certain people were no aware of their own rules, and that they were implementing something that didn't actually exist. I'm sure he'll be able to correctly detail all that.

as for mentioning someone by name in a thread that they haven't taken part in. I don't see why that would be such a big deal. it seems very petty in fact unless it's in a name-and-shame effort, or a banned user.

No, no, I have to answer that one! I don't want you all getting in trouble with Support! lol

That is still the rule on the primary pictures. We discuss it all the time and nothing has changed. It may be that something isn't seen by staff, isn't reported, maybe being overwhelmed in pictures as some times you can get high numbers of them and each has to be processed. They also do copyright in pictures and that can take a lot of time.

Once this guy had a joke cartoon of a huge cock slung over his shoulder. I thought it was so funny, but somebody caught it. There are times when you hate the rules, but then other times, it isn't so funny! I am so glad I don't work in pictures!

When someone can think of anything and everything, they can write a set of rule encyclopedias, but that is about the time I am running for hell, because that would be easier to take than writing that.

Needles, you haven't been around since the upset until recently. Abuse of power is not going to happen. Period. I am accountable and in charge. Staff will not be abused, people can speak their minds, but when it starts going into a beat down or demanding things, accusing and sometimes lying, we have a new mod here that simply isn't going to allow the forum to explode.

Every mod has to learn and it takes a long time. What I can see, another won't be able to because they don't know what I know. Then they can teach me something too. Oh yeah, I didn't think of that. The day we have perfect mods, well, I guess we got blessed by some superior being and he/she brought those encyclopedias too and genius to read them and know them by heart and couldn't make a mistake. It sure seems that people expect mods to be mini magical beings.

This is a volunteer gig. People don't always have a lot of time to be here, learn and work. Its not like we have people volunteering that can actually do the work or would do it without some of the things that have been an issue. We are not getting into the past here. This is not about mods. This is about the rules. I see calvin ball rules or anything like it and we are shutting down.

I am here, I am as transparent as I can be and willing to listen and explain. So far I don't think we have any issues that should result in a me against the forum members. I am open to discussion. Accusation, questions in my email such as ~ why did you do that? I didn't see you do this or that! and then socks running around, we will be done and that isn't a calvin ball anything. You can see that on the forum in a few places. Look up my nick.

I see the party has started. I just had a little nap and am good for another 24 hours. My clone is here, I have another mod out there and I can call them in any time. Let's roll.

Serious members, I apologize for what you may be about to see. So far, two bans. Who wants to be next?

I do not play games.

Thank you for the clarification Mod3. I asked in the not too distance past because I have a "gent" who just will not stop with those photos, I block him, he opens a different account. Up to that time I had reported them, then was told it was no longer a rule when I asked in the forums. Greatly appreciated to have it clarified!

If you are comfortable with it, you can send me a nick. Reporting these things is real important. Keep the emails too. Some are pretty tenacious about what they do, but Support works hard at solving things.

Anytime you have a question or problem let someone know. I'm slow on emails because I am a bit over extended a lot of the time, but I get to them as soon as I can.

I dont think I have ever read TOS, hell I couldnt even tell ya where they are located, but I just figure, be cool and youre good.
From time to time, I fail at that, but no ones perfect. I think the ones of us that have been here a while or are regular pretty much know. Its more so the newer
posters that I see get in trouble.

Oh and ET, the rules are here only for you, we get to be wild hetherns lol
